Walked in with my friend. It was pretty busy. We were the third party waiting in line to be seated. We were told a 10min Wait.
Parties in front of us got seated within 10mins. New customers walked in and it was an elderly couple. The hostess seated them without even talking with us. (We are standing in front of the hostess counter patiently) and clearly is seen. The hostess was even rolling his eyes at us for no reason. Out of respect for the couple we didnāt say anything about them getting seated before us. We let them take our table even though we didnāt have a choice. Another 10mins pass by. So now 20mins total.
A party of 6-8 came in and was seated within 5mins. Which is fine because we only have two in our party. Then another couple walks in behind the party of 6-8 and then gets seated right away. Hostess now laughing at what we think is us.
When we finally speak up we are told that the wait will be another 20mins and had an attitude and smirk like making fun of us since we are not locals i guess? Who was patiently waiting.
Even the waitress apologized to us. Whoever the hostess is needs to be fired. As we have hunting property here in Eufaula and usually have 8-10 people always with us and many more come on our property but we wonāt be sending anyone to Barbs again. From now on we will let all people know that Jacks is better. Even though Jacks is disgusting. At least they serve you with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad eaten here a year ago, food was not bad, tried again this weekend. Owner greeted us, told us to stand by and he would get us a table. "There were four empty tables, that I could see immediately." Stood there for several minutes, while the owner was doing who knows what. A waitress came by and asked if we had been help, in which we advise no. She stated she would be right with us. In the meantime another customer came in and the owner asked if they were there to pickup or dine in. She advise dine in. Owner then told the waitress to help her, again while we just stood there which is going on about ten minutes now. In the meantime we saw another waitress take food back from two different table based on customers complaints. If the lack of service wasnt enough, taking back bad food was a sure sign for us to move on, in which we did. Too many other places in the area for this kind of poor service and attention to detail. Wont hit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed at Cotton Hill for camping and came to Barbās for breakfast. $11 per person, AYCE with two kinds of sausage, bacon (a bit undercooked), ham, hash browns, scrambled eggs (they were out when I went thru), two kinds of grits, peppers/onions, tomato gravy? (Tasty to this northerner), sawmill gravy, choice of pancakes or french toast (french toast was amazing!) and there was a salad and dessert cake bar which we didnāt try. All was cooked well (except the bacon, we like crispy, but didnāt complain!) And unlimited coffee. Service was quite attentive and friendly! The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise, holiday decor was really nice and the Elvis posters were great! We are in the area for a few days and are considering returning for lunch! We will ask for the advertised fried chicken next time (didnāt see it, but we had more than enough to eat!) They offer breakfast and lunch daily,...
