The first time ordering everything was perfect. The 2nd time, not a good experience in multiple ways. We ordered Thai papaya salad and the crispy rice salad. We ordered medium spicy. There wasn't even a single piece of pepper in either, not even a single flake or thai chile remnant; food was bland. Spice gives the papaya salad its compliment to the fish sauce and lime. Otherwise, it tastes a little nasty. We refrained from putting this in a review right away and filled out a feedback form online. The response from management was apologizing that the spice level was not to satisfaction, and "perhaps" they left it out altogether, but offered no compensation. Even the initial start of ordering process was shaky. After the minites of watching workers walk back and forth multiple times, they finally said, "I see you". We were told 15 minutes and it turned into 30, which we understand busy, but give us a window using the most amount of time. When the food was hanssd over they had already flipped the clossed sign. Under promise and over deliver instead of the opposite as we gladly could have ran an errand in the meantime. We did try to call several times to pre order over the phone, even as walking into the establishment. Now about the bland food order, we had tried to call when we got home, but they didn't answer the phone, and if we were to drive back with the food for a remake, the establishment was closed at 8pm Not one offer to remake the food or make a credit or make it right. I really hope this business improves on all fronts because the 1st experience made me want to eat there once a week, but im hesitant to give it another go for quite some time, if at all. The 3 stars for food is due to the first experience averaged with the 2nd. I originally gave this 5 stars.

This restaurant was recommended to us by someone who lived in Thailand for three years and did not disappoint. Diverse menu options. The Pad Kra Pow had such bold flavors. We tried the duck noodle soup which was a special of the week, duck was so tender. We learned they offer new specials weekly and that this restaurant is owned by two northern Thailand women. Papaya salad could feed five people, but the flavor was okay. If you ask for chili sauce and fresh cut chilis, they make it fresh for you!! All sauces paired with the dishes were house made, and we could tell how fresh they were. Overall, we are going back to the restaurant today to try the Pad Kee Mao, house made curry puffs and curry. That’s how much we loved our experience last night! Definitely worth a try!!

What a great find! My friend invited me for lunch with a colleague of hers and we decided to order a variety of fudges for the table. Such a lovely variety of colours, textures, flavours and aromas. Partially this is par for the course with Thai cuisine, but I felt that they managed to elevate the dishes beyond what I expect at a typical Thai restaurants. The eggplant was sooo good, and frankly so was everything else. We had the green curry, pad kee mow with plump prawns, ahi laab which was so fresh and dressed with cured (?) black beans and fried chilli. Save room for dessert, as the mango sticky rice with coconut is beautiful visually, has a great contrast of warm and sweet sticky rice with perfectly ripe mango. Nom nom nom @mackenzieputici 📲

The Food is really great, but the system of getting the food needs a ton of improvement. I guess if you want to take out this system works, but if you come to eat in, it's very confusing. Although the space is comfortable, there is basically no one to seat you at a table, and take your order. You line up and wit to place your order at the front of the restaurant along with take outs, door dash, etc. If you have kids,it's a nightmare. You have to basically stand in the lobby and coordinate your order with everyone in your party. The kids are hungry and screaming while adults try to look at a menu. We almost left, but we're able to convince a nice employee to seat us, so we could decide on what we wanted. After some time, we still had to re-line up to place our order. Once we paid and tipped, we were told that the server would bring our food to the table. We never received any real help from the servers, so it felt really weird leaving a pre tip. The food was good, but the experience was so so. The staff were really nice and helped when they remembered, but it really didn't appear to be possible. They were understaffed, and I gathered that this was the way the restaurant was supposed to run. Even a decent at table ordering system (pos), would help. I tend to frequent toast restaurants because ordering at table is so easy, and those restaurants, don't seem to require as many staff. Hopefully they'll figure it out because I really liked the taste...

I’ve been in love with Krob Krua since they were located at Wildcraft. I’ve been to their restaurant on Pearl at least a dozen times, and I’ve never had a bad experience until tonight. They got rid of table service and now you have to order at the counter, which I don’t mind when I go to Tacovore or the Fisherman’s Market, but I considered this place more fine dining. As I ate my meal tonight, I was hoping one of the 5 employees standing around would come refill my water or ask how everything was, but none of them made eye contact with me when they walked by, and they weren’t even busy. I normally order a second drink, and dessert after dinner, but tonight I honestly couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. I was disappointed they removed my favorite item from the menu (the half roasted chicken plate) so I got the crispy rice salad which I’ve had many times before. Normally I get it with tofu but tonight I got it with the sausage, and it was gross. The sausage was slimy and cold and honestly inedible. The whole experience tonight was a bizarre disappointment and I wish I’d gone somewhere else. I won’t...
