Ordered 2 pizzas at 2:00pm. Was told they would be ready in 1.5 hours. Okay, no problem, probably a bit busy but that's fine. Called at about 3:00pm and was told that my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I bus so I arrived to the store at about 4:20. My order was not anywhere near ready, they hadn't even started it yet. After waiting for 20 minutes inside the store I was informed (BY ANOTHER CUSTOMER, NO EMPLOYEE EVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THIS) that I needed to check in with the worker at the counter, Mika, who then informed me that they still had another 30 minutes for my order. During this time they had finished multiple orders for people who had placed their orders 30 minutes-1 hour ago all while making multiple customers who ordered 2-3 hours prior wait even longer. Luckily 2 extra employees arrived to help the 3 there and orders started coming up faster, but the immense lack of time management and complete inability to multitask was genuinely infuriating. It took them 5 minutes to complete my order once they started making it, but I was stuck sitting and waiting for an hour for them to even start them. Orders should be made in the order in which they are received, not by who showed up to the store first. If you tell me 1.5 hours til my food is done, I'm not going to bus and sit there an hour early so that you'll actually start making it. I understand being busy because of a game day, but they need to manage time and orders better so that situations like this are avoided. We waited nearly 4 hours for them to make 2 pizzas and that is just...
Read moreUsually this place is pretty good, but on Friday night I had the worst service I’ve ever had there. It started when I called in my order and was told they didn’t have ground beef as a topping anymore. (When I showed up to pay I realized they DID still have it, as its one of the five toppings on their 5 Meat pizza)
On the phone I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. It ended up taking 45 minutes to get a cheese pizza. As I paid for my order, the woman told me that they “had just pulled my ticket and it wouldn’t be long because it is just a cheese pizza”. While I waited for 25 minutes in the store, I watched the terrible mistakes being made left and right. They gave the wrong pizza to someone and had to run outside to retrieve it from the persons car. They then brought it back inside, asked a guy what pizza he was waiting for, pretended to make it, then gave him the one they retrieved. It had been done and on a shelf for who knows how long before that. At least two people got their orders messed up while I waited. One kid didn’t get his bread sticks, had to come back in and had to show them the receipt to finally get them.
I also got to see people scratching their nose with their gloves on, then go back to making pizzas. Nice.
When my cheese pizza was finally done, they just left it next to the register and didn’t call my name, and I had to tell the woman that it was mine, and that I was taking it.
I guess don’t order from here on a Friday.
Funny, GrubHub didn’t have to wait at all when they came in. Everything was ready to go...
Read moreThis place is honestly one of the remaining businesses along West 11th that has not been inundated with unhoused, underemployed or untrained (or even better—the potentially stable/yet unstable barrage of the increasingly confrontational foot traffic along west 11th businesses who scare people away from those attempting to run business and provide jobs/services to those who haven’t been chosen to receive part of your paychecks yet). I have never been harassed or even threatened by those who have not had the advantages or opportunities that I have had in my life, or made the sacrifices I have, that have enabled me to purchase and then cook in an oven, inside of a home, with a drafty wooden front door I’ve folded an old blanket under, and an outdated yet indoor corroded copper plumbing system, and a circa 1974 electric breaker which needs to be completely replaced, yet still allowed me to cook a family-sized meal….including sides, all for under $20, including LEFTOVERS after 4 people ate pizza and dessert solely...
