Last time i was here the service was great. The dark haired girl working the counter was super helpful and explained the menu in a friendly manner.
The second time i go in. There are two blond servers. Neither of them are helping customers.... they are chatting with each other as i walk up.... they dont acknowledge me and keep chatting with each other. Finally i say hello, and they are staring at me as if they dont understand why i am talking to them.... again i am at the register. I start to explain the drink i had before as i did not know which one on the menu it was.... i explained it was shaved ice... to which i was interrupted and told "all of our ice is shaved" i clarified and said " okay, well i am explaining what i got last time so you can help me get the right drink this time". One walks away. The other acts like she is being helpful and just clarifies the flavor. The other one comes back and rings me up. I sit down. My wait is less than a minute and i see her make a drink with regular cubed ice, slap a lid on it,call out my drink and then looks at me..... i approach the counter and say, "is this with the shaved ice?" She says "no, you didnt want the milkshake" nobody explained what the milkshake was and i assumed... its a milkshake. And i wanted the shaved ice drink I had before and was rudely interrupted when explaining it. Which is why i was explaining it, so i could get the correct drink.
I asked for my money back and i wont be coming back.
That is absurd. How do you have 2 counter people treat you like an alien at the register and then interrupt instead of being helpful, and then give you the wrong item. No, thanks. Do better.
I am not supporting that kind of service, if you cant be helpful, i am not willing to gamble at what you make me pay for. 7 30 p.m....
Read moreThey should really rename this place 180 degrees, because that is what you will wish you had done at the door, and that is what you will soon be doing in the bathroom. First of all, I want to be clear that I have only eaten one thing on their menu. That said, the one thing I did eat made me never want to step foot inside of this establishment again.
I'm currently writing this from the bathroom, as I have been unable to leave it for several hours, and my life is beginning to feel a bit like a twilight zone episode.
I visited Zero Degrees this afternoon with the intention of not giving myself dysentery, and though I initially only planned on trying the ume milkshake, the wife was keen to try their Elotes, a traditionally Mexican street food, which I have had once, from a food truck in San Antonio.
This was not nearly the same experience.
They brought us a pie tin heaped with corn, covered in already-warm mayo, and encrusted with bright red "flamin' hot" Cheetos crumbs.
This was the first and most literal red flag.
Susie (my wife) tried some, and the look on her face should have hardened my resolve against such a culinary abomination, but her plea for my opinion caused my ego to get the better of my judgment. I took a large spoonful of white-and-pink corn sludge, and warily consumed it.
It was like the taste of a terrible mistake. If an unwanted pregnancy and texting while driving could somehow fuse into a "food", it would be Zero Degrees' Elotes. Upon swallowing the sour, warm and greasy bile, I immediately felt ill. Not even the admittedly decent (if somewhat over-the-top) Ume Milkshake could quell the instinctual rejection my gut was attempting upon having this abhorrent ichor foisted upon it.
TL;DR Avoid the food, try the shakes, make sure your protective blood...
Read moreMy partner and I stopped by and we were unsure how things were ran. The lady at the front counter was not informative and not very nice since it was our first time in. We waited for a long time for our food and there wasn’t very many customers and was expected to get our food a little faster. After receiving our food we went home to eat and the minute I sat down to try their “delicious” food, they messed up our order. I didn’t receive the correct meal, though my partner did. I called to tell them they had messed up my order and the lady on the other end took my name and said she would replace my meal and then hung up on me. This irritated me even more because I was not given very good customer service. I started eating what I got because I was not able to go all the way back out to the place to get food because I didn’t have time. I took a bite of my food AND THERE WAS A BLACK HAIR IN IT! I am so disappointed with everything about this place and I spent a lot of money thinking it was going to be “great” food. I will not be a returning customer. It wouldn’t kill them to have the girls that work there...
