I give it a 4 not for the deals but how crowded it is!! They definitely do gave some great deals, but it's just me and my husband. I definitely don't need gigantic boxes of cereal or massive bags of chips!! But for us I bought what I knew we could use that wouldn't be wasted!! I bought grapes, 2 pack of canola cooking oil, 12 pk. Muffins, toilet paper, minced garlic to be honest I pay that same price for a jar half that size so it was worth it..uur grand total at check out was $185. I think they have good deals but some aren't really that great!! The crowds drive me crazy there's people going every which way!! There's also no one on the floor to ask for help finding stuff!! ... that was the hardest part for me!! It's a gigantic store so u just have to go aisle by aisle til u find what you need!! I shopped here a long time ago with a friend but she knew her way around. They did have pre-made large meals like lasagna and things like that tha run between $20-$30 so in a pinch thats a good deal.and theyre roasted chickens are superb at $4.99 each and i gotto tell u its worth it because the roasted chickens at regular grocery stores are half the size!! So tast and delicious.we just purchased our first Costco card yesterday..then we went shopping...so it's good for if were going halfers with someone, or for a party, or if you have a big family but like I Said it's just me and my husband...I don't know if it's worth all the people in the store!! To me personally it's complete insanity. In the past we have had family members order and pick us up a cake for a birthday event and they do have the best cakes with the best prices. We heard the gas was cheaper and the lines were super long but we couldn't find any signs with the gas prices...they have everything here, electronics, books, clothes, shoes, patio furniture pretty much everything u might need!! Christmas shopping will be good to do here ...Anyway thos is just my opinion.Excellent produce dept, and eggs were right under $6.00 buy I yhink it was an 18 pack or somethin

While picking up a few items I needed, I saw an item I had recently purchased, now on sale and decided to get a price adjustment after checking out. I was told I needed the original receipt for a price adjustment and then rudely schooled on their new policy. I mentioned that I don’t carry my Costco receipts in my purse for 30 days and questioned when this policy started. I was told it was ALWAYS their policy and they were now going to enforce it. I replied I thought that was ridiculous and felt very singled out. It was then explained to me that people abuse the system and I was then made to feel as if that is what I was doing! This was the FIRST time I had ever used this courtesy, as my fiancé is the one who shops here most often and he has made adjustments previously. There were no less than 4 employees who made me feel terrible by insinuating I was a criminal and interrogating me with questions about my purchase. The manager was called and it became a scene, all I wanted was this policy in writing in order to confirm I wasn’t being singled out. (I was told it was in writing several times.) After almost breaking down in tears in front of onlookers who were wondering what the confrontation was about, I was finally told there is no policy in writing. I am humiliated. What should have been a simple, courteous transaction felt much more like alienation. One employee actually told me that she was frustrated and people are frustrated and taking it out on each other, after I mentioned it felt like a much different customer service experience in Costco than Ive had. I can’t begin to explain my anxiety over just thinking about shopping here again. I felt personally attacked and was treated so disrespectfully. Very embarrassing. Am I not allowed to have the same courtesy as other customers? I felt singled out. And now I feel like I should share this experience as to forewarn others regarding their price adjustment “policy.” ☹️☹️☹️ Edit. Two days later I received an experience feedback survey in the mail. Oh boy.

FOUR MONTH UPDATE: DOWNGRADE TO TWO STARS FROM FIVE Four months of shopping here reduces five stars to two. Terrible beef prices (go to Winco for proteins of quality and good price), rotten seafood once, moldy bagels, mis-labeled meat, lame customer service. Still useful store for things you don't eat. PREVIOUS POST Just joined today. Great Costco, good selection across the board. Even proteins can be reasonably priced if you look. The store guess on and on (pic.), the butcher is highly competent (pic.) of him breaking down a whole animal) - and rivals the cuts you see at Whole Foods, not Safeway or Fred Meyer's. I got a hot dog and a drink for my voyage through the aisles, and that set me back only $1.50!! (pic.). The CEO of Costco announced laspping September at an earnings meeting that this price is "forever" - which is good because I spent $665+ here today (pic.) and bought 50 things, bringing my avg. cost per item $13.30. Kast's Tip: Join today and spring for the Executive Membership which is twice as much as Gold ($120 vs. $60). An average couple should get around $200/year in cashback, in addition to other benefits. If you think you spend about average, or have more than two people in your home, it just makes sense!

TL;DR: Got almost immediately hung up on by administrative staff when calling to ask if I could be directed to a department that would actually know if they had portable A/Cs in stock. Not renewing membership. Small drop in big pond, but sticking to it.

Only reason this isn't a one star is because I had great customer service when I went in person about 2 months ago. The people that helped me when I bought a sectional couch were top notch in helping me get it to our car. Haven't had any issue with this location up until today, over a phone call of all things.

Service over the phone today was downright rude and extremely unprofessional. I had called to see if they had any portable air conditioners in stock since they have rotating stock on items. It’s a 40 minute drive for us to get to this location, so rather than waste gas I thought I could get a straightforward answer or at least be directed to someone who can help me. I listened through all the options the automated voice gives for departments and the secondary set of departments. None of the departments listed had any real connection to the home-type item I was looking for. Well, administrative staff sounded like a safe bet on finding someone who could direct me to someone who could help.

Called, got “Hi, how can I help you?” No name, so can’t really say who but they sounded like a woman. I started off by apologizing since I know it can be a little bothersome to get a call that’s not entirely your department. “Hi, sorry I was trying to reach-“

Called had ended. First, naturally I was confused but I’ll admit I got upset. She wouldn’t even hear me out.

So, our membership is up in Fall and I will not be renewing. I know that businesses see that and all really don’t care because it seems like such a small blip on the radar screen but I used to always suggest people try out Costco because of the great costs AND the excellent customer service. Family, friends, coworkers. Not anymore, all thanks to this one woman in Adminstration who hung up on me in about 4 seconds. So yeah, might seem a little bitter but I’m not going to support a business that is going to treat me that way for calling.

To those three guys who helped us on that day with the couch, hope you're doing well.

To that woman who hung up on me, I hope you treat other...
