Everytime i go to Panera in Evans, GA and order take out something is always wrong with my order. On 2/28/2019 at 4:15pm, I came in to order take out. I did look inside my bag to make sure i had the correct amount of items. Got home and finally sat down to eat and found that we received the wrong soup and the wrong mac and cheese. I called and was told that nothing could be done unless i came back to the store with my receipt to get reimbursed. Why would i want to spend another 45 minutes or longer to come have an order corrected in evening after work traffic? How about coming up with a system in your store with your employees to make sure this doesn't happen so often. So anyone that goes there to order takeout be sure you LOOK at EVERYTHING before you leave - even look inside the container to make sure you have the right thing. This location wasn't even busy at this time. They might have had 10 people in the store and they still can't get an order correct. After speaking to my daughter who works close to the Robert C Daniel location....she stated she has the same problems often at that location. I was told if i ordered online that they could reimburse me but because i took the time to come inside to order they couldn't help me. Interesting that the manager i spoke with initially stated she could reimburse me at the drop of a hat until she found out i walked in to the store to order. She gave me the impression that they mess up orders quite often. I personally will not EVER go back to Panera and certainly will not recommend them. Spent $35 on two people and all we got was one sandwich, and one of the half sandwiches and soups and a drink for each person and although one of us just wanted water you get charged $3 for the same drink price AND a shorter cup. No one's food was even remotely warm, everything was cold like out of the fridge cold level. Sandwiches were supposed to be toasted, one was the mac and cheese grilled cheese and the bread was cold, and tough/chewy but not at all toasted and the mac and cheese on it was cold and dry, mostly noodles and no cheese. Had the occasional sliver of tomato on the sandwich and it does not come with that so must just be a dirty prep area they work with. Black particles were floating in our drinks from them not cleaning the machines. Dining area is not clean either. When we told them everything was cold down to the soup we were told there was a microwave in the lobby (which there wasn't) and I didn't come out to nuke some food. Also don't want a rubbery sandwich. We stomached a small amount since we spent the money but it was just gross and we wish we never even came. This place makes Mc'Donalds look like a 5 star restaurant. Read moreI went to this Panera and order a large Mac and cheese, tomato soup, half tuna and a Baja bowl today 7/27 via the app. When I picked up the order the Mac and cheese was half full. I ordered the Mac and cheese several times, because it’s delicious so I’m very familiar with how it looks. I brought it to the clerks attention that I’m paying $10.99 for a large and it was indeed half way full. She took it to the manager Jack and he came to the cash register and kept repeating to me with a very flat and inattentive voice that he would not change the Mac order. He did not even look at the food as I was presenting it to him he just kept saying he would not change it because it comes prepackaged and there is nothing he could do. I have visit this location several time but I must this is the first time I’ve ever felt like Panera has provided me with horrible customer service. The manager’s demeanor, lack of attention, poor communication and attitude is a poor example for the staff on how leadership should provide customer service.
