My son and I visited here for the first time . When we walked in were told there was a wait . The hostess up front kept asking me how to say it spell my name and still spelled it wrong . When it was time for us to be seated , she asked again and had it mixed up . No biggie not a big deal . Once we were seated , our waitress lacked the warm welcome. As we decided on what to order , I had a couple of questions she didn’t have any suggestions . It was almost as if I were asking things that made no sense .
We finally ordered , I asked if my omelette could be scrambled and was told she’d have to ask because they were really busy . Ordered my sons food .
Food came out Luke warm , my sons steak was chewy , and my omelette lacked every bit of flavor possible . It was cold , dry , and the meat looked undercooked. We are as much as we could and I hate to complain but I eventually asked for a manager .
The manager addressed my concerns , then suggested that I should tell them in the beginning so that they can fix it . She proceeded to say I’m sorry the food I can’t do anything about but will take off the orange juice and coffee . I told her I wasn’t asking for my meal to be free , I was simply giving feedback . She then said by the window is colder over here so maybe that’s what happened .
The customer service is not great , they lacked empathy for the feedback and made the wrong assumption of what my intentions were . I know that my one review won’t make any impressions but this was some of the worst service and food I’ve had...
Read moreStepping into Frida’s is like entering a space where flavor and artistry collide, much like the colors and pain of her canvases. The menu, rich and varied, offers something to delight every palate—an inclusive celebration of food that mirrors the many layers of life itself.
My first encounter with the chilaquiles was nothing short of a masterpiece. The chips were bold, crisp, and confident, standing firm beneath the vibrant sauce. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and present, like a figure in one of Diego’s murals—undeniable, alive. But alas, my last visit told a different story, one where the passion seemed to falter under the weight of busy hands. My chilaquiles arrived disjointed, a plate of soggy whispers with no voice. The chips were shattered, their edges lost, and the chicken—a mere shadow of its former self—scattered in sadness.
Consistency, dear friends, is the soul of greatness. Without it, even the brightest colors dull.
Yet, the spirit of Frida’s cannot be dismissed. The walls speak in vibrant strokes of artistry, the furniture invites you to stay, and the staff welcomes you with the warmth of a Mexican sun. Frida’s has the heart of something truly magnificent, but like all beauty, it needs care to fully bloom.
When they find their rhythm, Frida’s will surely transform each plate into a canvas of perfection. Come for the potential, the flavors that sing when the stars align, and the kindness of their team. Let us hope they embrace the discipline that elevates art to...
Read moreI walked in with high hopes after reading the reviews online. The atmosphere looked inviting. After sitting down and receiving the recommendation for the beef brisket Benedict, I was excited as I have not had good brisket or BBQ since North Carolina. After receiving my plate, my first bite was interesting. I thought maybe it was me because I love to cook and know my meats. However, after a few more bites the beef brisket, in my opinion was actually pork. The texture, the taste, the thick bacon like fat, the shiny color pork gives off after being cooked none of it gave brisket. I was extremely disappointed and questioned someone who looked like mgmt, he ensure me it was brisket. I continued to eat my eggs and potatoes searching online the distinct differences between the 2 (brisket/pork) concluding it was pork. I waited, after calling my waitress twice, telling her my concerns then immediately felt like my presence was no longer welcomed. They offered a 25% off which the breakfast meal should have been free. Now, I am suffering and have food poisoning. Arrived home sick and...
