I’ve only done 2 ratings I think ever, counting this one. Maybe 3. Went in today at about 12:30-40 in the afternoon and they were busy with kids everywhere out for lunch. I get it they are busy BUT I felt so horrible for their trainee at the register. The kid was having a hard time and it didn’t help having some dude (We will call him No Name) making him feel worse and dumb every time he needed help. I was next but the trainee was told to stop doing the register and help take bags to drive thru. That’s fine but the guy training him (Asked for his name and nobody knew it apparently) straight up told him to “forget about the people at the register, they have the kiosk”. That blew my mind. I kept paying attention to “no name” just know he had some tattoos going down the back of his neck. He was negative about everything he was doing. Constantly shaking his head and mumbling “This is stupid” at this point I’m already at the register for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to get my order while there was 3 other customers behind me waiting also. Same waiting time and that’s freaking wild. I asked “no name” a couple of times if I could speak to the manager but he just kept blowing me off. So I patiently waited for another 15 minutes. Blew me off like 4 times. The trainee noticed it and another worker noticed it. Finally talked to the manager and he explained to her what happened. I really hope they spoke to him about his behavior because many customers saw it and I really hope that trainee doesn’t pick up “no names” bad habits. I really hope the manager reads this also because that was not cool at all. I waited 45 minutes to talk to her. She was nice. “No Name” can go where the sun don’t shine. Please re-train “No Name” with the tattoos going down his neck. I’m still going to McD’s but not this one. Dude...
Read moreThis place amuses me. It is the perfect case study for how a fast food joint can be profitable (it's always packed), and yet, consistently get orders wrong while employing rude managers that treat you as if you made the mistake in the food order, despite the receipt vindicating your request. I can say this all with a high degree of confidence (p-value of .01) because they consistently (without fail) get my order and requests wrong, despite me even asking the employee that hands me the food to verify that it was done in accordance with my wishes. That being said, the way I deal with this McDonald's is by always checking my order in front of them, and by waiting for them to fix it; and I've had to calm down other patrons that get angry about this lackluster effort and care by employees on numerous occasions, by reminding them that this happens to me all the time and nobody there truly cares about you or your order being right.
If you ever expect an apology from the manager who fixes your order, you will be gladly surprised to know that they do not care about your order being wrong, will not admit guilt or say "sorry," and will shrug you off as the 'crazy person' that wanted their food prepared in accordance with your order request.
Besides all this, I look forward to eating there again next week and receiving this typical "I don't care" experience that this McDonald's managerial approach has come to embrace. The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern could definitely learn about this particular outlier fast food joint that makes a profit without adhering to any semblance of care or concern for...
Read moreI tried to not write this review. Three times in the last year I ordered from the drive thru only to be forced to go park and wait for 15 minutes before getting angry and going inside to get my food because they forgot about me. At least twice they got my order wrong and I didn't catch it until I was home. I've complained to their indifferent staff on several occasions. I was angry, but I tried to give people working a largely thankless job the benefit of the doubt.
Then tonight happened. Took my kids to eat and they wanted to dine in. We ordered and then waited and watched them walk at least a dozen orders outside to drive thru patrons. The kids who came in and ordered ten minutes after we did got their food and were done eating before we got ours. I watched car after car get their order before the timer hit 3 minutes.
29 minutes. That's how long I waited for my food. For 12 of them I watched part of my order get cold sitting on the counter. I asked one two occasions if someone could please finish my order before walking another one out the door.
When I complained to the manager they said "well we're busy" and when I explained that I understood that but that didn't excuse them serving likely dozens of others before us they said "we make everything to order." When I asked why my burger took almost half an hour to make they didn't seem to have an answer. I can only surmise that they are incredibly stupid or they think I am.
I will be voting with my wallet and not returning to this McDonald's. If you've had a similar experience I implore you to...
