Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in Evansville

The donut and coffee were decent, but I visit coffee shops to work and enjoy a different atmosphere, and this was not a pleasant experience. I was hit with an overwhelming stench of dirty mop water when I arrived. The shop has such a cute vibe, but it felt dirty. Many of the tables had crumbs and food smears. I also couldn't tell if the tile floor was filthy or stained from age, but given the smell I had to wonder if a scrub with a clean mop might have helped. It was also too warm in there. Loved the mini coconut donuts! Regular Coffee was not anything outstanding, I had french vanilla with it but really didn't taste it and it was bitter. Some tables are very small round so it would limit any more than one person using a laptop on table with their order and drink. The waitresses didn't know the correct wifi password! So my trip there to leisurely browse my tablet wasn't an option. The front door doesn't close well and it was quarter open when I arrived and then when I left someone didn't shut it well!! Placed an online order for the other store in town, the website placed the order for here. So I drove almost an hour to get it from my house, for them to call me as I walked into their building to tell me that they canceled my order due to a gas leak…that happened yesterday. Should have updated the website the second you knew you couldn’t make the donuts, and should have cancelled the order as soon as it came in instead of 10 min before pickup time, as the customer is walking in...
