Had my parents over and we ordered takeout from here. Ordered 2 calamari, a fisherman’s platter, 2 lobster ravioli, frutta di mare risotto and a couple other things.. Over $200. Food got delivered, I unpack it all etc. lobster ravioli was over cooked and complete mush, the pink cream sauce looked dehydrated and unappetizing. ($70 for two entrees) Risotto was suppose to be made with white wine sauce as my mom can’t eat red sauce. Also there was broken mussel shells in the risotto, no not just a few unfortunately. I called and they said a manager would call me back, nothing! I called for three weeks and no one could take the time to return my call. Finally on the third week I spoke to the woman owner who passed the phone over to her husband. I explained what happened and asked why I didn’t receive a call back? He said Covid I’m busy, I get it but three weeks?!! He then agreed to refund a portion of my order and not the three items that I requested to be refunded. He accused us of being drunk and therefore we didn’t deserve a refund on those three items. I said Joe (he’s the owner mind you) we got take out what do you mean we were drunk?! He said that’s what the delivery driver said. I was beside myself! I went in for my refund the next day. We order from this place at least twice a month if not more. This type of service and attitude should never happen yet alone from an owner! We will never be back here and safe to say we will let people know exactly how you treat...
Read moreMy wife and I celebrated our anniversary on a Saturday afternoon. There were about ten other people in the restaurant. I ordered Fruitti di Mare and my wife ordered stuffed veal chop and a glass of wine. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer. We were given bread with butter as well. My dish consisted of clams, mussels, scallops, and shrimp over linguine in a scampi sauce. It was fantastic and enough to bring some home for another meal. My wife's veal cop was over two inches thick. It came with pasta. My wife said that it was delicious. Total bill ( two dinners, appetizer, wine, and tax) came to $85. We have eaten here in the past and will eat here again. It was a fantastic meal, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is on-streetand difficult to find, although at 5 pm on a Saturday, it...
Read moreMy spouse, child an I ate at Abondanza for the first (and most likely the last) time on Saturday, April 5. The service started out excellent, but spiraled downward quickly. Our waitress (older woman, with short, gray hair) pretty much ignored us after the meal was served. The busboy took our leftover food and provided our dessert menu after a good deal of time had passed; he also took and served our dessert order. The waitress then took forever to provide the check at the end of the meal (was just getting ready to ask for it) and she had to come back to tell us she forgot to add on a dessert (well, if she had taken the dessert order, she would have known how many desserts we had). Good Italian food is a dime a dozen in this neck of the woods; service is what sets the great apart and ensures my family goes...
