Hi al,
We got a wedding cake for my brothers wedding last weekend. It was a two tier cake. We were told it would be ready the day of the wedding. When we picked it up the cake wasn’t ready and we waited around twenty minutes for it to be ready. They placed it into a box and we took it about 25 minutes away to where the reception was held. It was 60 degrees out. We held it the entire way and had the air conditioning in the car blasting. When we arrived the top tier collapsed into the bottom tier. There were no supports in the cake to make sure this didn’t happen and there was nothing separating the tiers to prevent this. When we talked to the business they yelled at us and hung up on us. The never even asked us how we would like to make this ok or what they could do to make us less unhappy about the situation. If the cake was prepared prior like it should’ve been and if the support was in the cake then this wouldn’t have happened as it would have been frozen properly. This is not user error on our part this is a plan error along with carelessness from the business.

Edit to response to the owners comment below:
I am being honest. My mother never swears and did not swear at your staff. She did raise her voice but did not swear. It was over the phone and your staff did yell and hang up on her. All of your response was contradicted by what your staff told us. As for the supports, they were nowhere to be found. And your staff agreed with that when I spoke to them in store originally as they said the cake was frozen. They told me they would contact us to ask the designer if the collapse was possible and would call us on Tuesday. Which they did and that is when they spoke to my mother and hung up and yelled at her. I believe you have no idea what customer I am or what cake I am talking about because it wasn’t under my name but my mothers and your response is nothing like your staffs. Either that or you are just making up something to save face. I am reporting you to the better business bureau. Not only have you refused to apologize, refused to give us any sort of money back, and now are slandering my name and my mothers by accusing me of lying when I am not all because you do not like the fact that you made a mistake. It’s ok to make mistakes, we all do. It isn’t ok to treat people like this especially when you work in a customer...
Read moreI've been coming here for years and years. I've had everything from their bear claws, to their rum cakes, to their cookies and even more. The flavors are just incredible.
I don't live out here but when I'm in the area I make sure to stop by. I'd give this a 5 star rating however I'm taking a half star off for the parking situation there. It's tight and I've had to walk a few blocks after finding a parking spot. There is a very small parking lot that is shared with tennant buildings and I think the bakery only has 2-3 spots. The other half star off I'm taking is not everyone is super friendly there. Occasionally you get a young girl that has an issue remembering the simplest of orders and you have to repeat them. That and you have to ask for your receipt before they throw it away. Back where I'm from you are always handed your receipt regardless of paying cash or with a credit card.
If you get a chance, stop by and get something. You won't be...
Read moreI have ordered here few times since it’s local when I need something really fast. This past delivery my scali bread was old, rock hard and stale. Have never seen anything like this. Being an italian myself it’s a disgrace you screw up bread. The staff said it was freshly made, but what a scam. Go check out other Italian bakeries and know the difference of true freshness! Plus, I have seen no gloves when they touch your bread. Watch out!. Not acceptable. Very disappointed overall. Would also never order cookies here. They are so dry and old. Do yourself a favor and go to a real Italian bakery where they pride themselves on quality and customer satisfaction. Try Elm St bakery in Everett, Torretta’s bakery in East Boston, Mike’s pastry and Luberto’s pastry shop in Revere, you won’t be disappointed. Will never...
