On two separate occasions, I was overcharged at the 1724 Revere Beach Parkway Wendy's location. I submitted a form through the talktowendys.com site, then later spoke with someone via support, who also said that a report was forwarded along and to expect a call from the restaurant. I still have not gotten a call or a refund. Both times, I was handed my order without the frosty, and the window shut on me without explanation. I just waited for my drink, until someone returned to ask what I needed, and I said I was waiting for the frosty I paid for. I was told both times there were "no more," without any acknowledgement unprompted. The first time, I was told I had been refunded. I wasn't. Both orders of spicy nuggets in that order were regular, as well, which support said would also be addressed. The second time, I was asked who the order was for (?), then was informed "no more." When I said I needed to be refunded, the annoyed woman printed a receipt noting an authorization in the full amount and "Change" in the amount for the frosty, then shut the window. I was not given any change. It's been five days and I haven't received a call back, this is theft at this point. Both times I was told the money would be refunded, and it was neither time. And my order was incorrect. I am tempted to file a police report and a chargeback over the principle, as it appears I was due change and the individuals working simply pocketed it (if the register wasn't reported over at the end of the shift). It's ridiculous to order and pay for items that have been arbitrarily and against company policy pulled from the menu, only to be scammed out of my money by dishonest employees. I have never had this issue at another establishment, not even fast food. I reached out to Wendy's support again, and the location just closed my case without reaching out to me or refunding me. I have no idea how this isn't considered actionable....
Read moreI've been coming to this location for almost four years, and the service has declined constantly since then. This visit here will be my last one.
I placed my order online about 25 minutes before arriving. After arriving, the food wasn't ready. No one acknowledged that I was standing there, or even made eye contact. After 10 minutes, someone asked if I was a certain person whose order they just finished. I responded that I wasn't, but I had been waiting for a while for a different mobile order. He said "Oh, cool," and then walked away.
I then spent 10 minutes watching that same employee and two others walk around announcing how they were done working and bothering the other employees. They were goofing around, distracting, and getting food for themselves while a group of six customers (myself included) were waiting for their food that they paid for. Some of us became audibly irritated by the situation and finally, about ten minutes after that, I walked out with my food. The food was fine. Standard Wendy's. But it took 55 minutes from order to food receipt, with over half an hour waiting in-store for two burgers and some fries.
As someone who has spent years in the food service industry, I know what it's like to work in a stressful, less-that-fulfilling job. However, I also understand what it means to actually do your job properly, and that involves making sure your customers are being attended. Even the slightest bit of acknowledgement and care would have gone a long way in this situation.
If you like Wendy's, then I suggest that you drive a few miles to a different location to get your food. With so many places to go to get the same food, you're better off going to a location that will provide a better...
Read moreI really like the upgrade that has been done to this location. I worked on a few of the McDonald's upgrades to the new system and was immediately impressed. I would like to add that McDonald's Kiosk upgrade is more impressive. However, I love the fact that you upgraded the drink machine. It is the only fast food restaurant that I've come across that has a "Movie Theater" style drink machine. The possibilities are endless and I find myself there for more than 5 minutes per drink. The pickup screen, however, works perfect during slow hours but unfortunately makes things much more hectic during rush hour. I've only visited twice, once during rush hour and then right before rush hour. The first time was during rush hour and I found that a lot of the customers, including myself, got a little confused by the order/numbering. It also didn't help that your staff was getting confused by it as well. The second time was just as the high school students were getting out of school. Because the rush had not yet started it was easy to read the board and get my food as well as condiments as needed. I did not visit the rest room on either visits but the dining room was clean even with the rush so call me impressed. Other than those minor things, great job on the new set...
