We just went for drinks, but heard breakfast is amazing so asked to look at that menu and WOW IT LOOKS SO GOOD. Everything on the dinner menu looked awesome too and we will definitely be going back to eat. I'm always looking for good breakfast spots so I'm super psyched this is close by! Atmosphere was chill, good music and low lighting when we were there around 630. Service was friendly and quick. Beware there is a flight of stairs to get in from the street in case u have a stroller or old person with you! Update: went back for dinner and first of all the wine pours are impressive. Second, the food was great. The menu is not straightforward fare in a good way. Kind of an American spin on Mexican? Went with a couple girl friends we shared the nachos and I got tacos. All was yummy and I would go back!

Our party of seven enjoyed our experience at the big Bean in Exeter. The staff was prompt courteous and kept us abreast of our situation with such a large party. When we were seated, we were able to get our food in a relatively quick manner. The menu has a wide variety of selections some of the highlights Were the scramble bowl, the make your own sandwich and the sweet potato hash. We definitely enjoyed our meal and would highly suggest you check out the spot when you’re in the Exeter area.

My mother and I came across this restaurant after having a relaxing time at the salt caves across the street. We truly enjoyed their breakfast menu and had there Sweet Potatoe Hash Scrambler/Skillet. It was amazing and we can't wait to go back. Great vibes along with a nice relaxing atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I have eaten here several times and it has always been a pleasant experience until this past weekend. She has several dietary restrictions due to allergies and Big Bean has always been accommodating. However, this past Sunday was a different experience. We ordered as we usually do, and my girlfriend requested a substitute due to her allergies. When the food arrived, it was clear the substitution was not made. It was an honest mistake since the atmosphere can get a bit loud, but the problem was with the server’s response. When we asked about the problem, he bluntly responded “well, what do you want me to do about it?” Ultimately, the server brought a free side item, which also contained allergens and could not be eaten by my girlfriend, as a resolution.

The server seemed very rude and unconcerned with the fact that my girlfriend could not eat a significant portion of the meal she ordered and we still paid full price for.

It’s a shame, since we have always enjoyed eating at Big Bean, but now we are unsure if we will be returning after the way we...

Waited an hour before finally giving up and leaving. I’ve never had to leave a restaurant before, but waiting over an hour for eggs is ridiculous. Hopefully they get this sorted out. In the meantime, save yourself some time and drive to Newmarket. By the time you drive there, have breakfast, and drive back…you’ll still have a better and more timely experience.

I appreciate your response, but you are incorrect. We waited for 21 minutes for a table. That’s all good. No problem. Once we sat, we waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Again, no problem. We sat down at our table at 11:50 and left at 12:50. So we sat for a total of 1 hour. From the order taken to us leaving was 40-50 minutes. I don’t think you were given the correct information. However, I trust that it will get better. I just don’t think your response paints the proper picture and shows a bit of contempt towards...

I had not been to Exeter in a long time. My husband and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast and saw a group of people going down to this place. We asked about the quality and were told that it was their go to place on Sundays. The place did not disappoint! Fabulously creative menu and special items. On a good note, it was hard to pick from so many good options. I chose an egg Benedict special which was great. My husband chose an egg special with bacon and hash browns. We did not order their muffins but saw one go by. I ordered 4 of them - not your typical sugar bomb with yummy fillings such as the strawberry shortcake and the raspberry with chocolate chips. A little slow with our meals but one expects that with a crowd on a Sunday AM. We are looking forward to going back. Staff was attentive and helpful. The restaurant is not big but with...
