Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Fair Lawn

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I place an order over the phone with this Jersey Mike’s for a pick up order. They told me that food would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived to pick up the order, the (who I’m assuming is the manager) told me my pick up time was wrong and my order wouldn’t be ready for “a few minutes”. By this time, the manager seemed completely inconvenienced with looking for my order, so I waited the additional 15 minutes in my car. When I went back in to get my food, the manager continued to tell me my order didn’t go through. He blamed it on the fact that I called through a “third party” number, and since I didn’t pay over the phone, there was no way they would have made my order to begin with. When placing the order over the phone, they never asked to collect payment. And, when I called the number back to confirm it wasn’t a third party number, it was indeed the Fair Lawn, NJ number. I’m beyond irritated, as the manager seemed completely annoyed with my order initially, and I wasted nearly 40 minutes waiting, when the manager could have told me the order didn’t go through rather than waiting. He made no effort to rectify the situation or ask if he could assist in placing my order. I will not be going back to...

How have I never been to a Jersey Mike's after all these years? After my brother-in-law told me how frequently he enjoyed their subs, I finally made a visit to this Fair Lawn location.

Since I wasn't quite sure what to order, I chose a chicken bacon ranch sub straight off the menu and only substituted the cheese type. I've heard some comparisons to Subway's, but I love that there is a hot grill here, which makes all the difference. My sub was satisfyingly full of warmed chicken, bacon, and neatly piled vegetables. The folks behind the counter work so fast that our order was ready within mere minutes, and they were quick to respond to needs. For instance, I returned to the counter to request some extra pickles, and they were so nice about packing it neatly into a cup even though I was dining in. I know chains are frequently overlooked when it comes to dining recommendations, but I'm happy to report that my husband and I had a solid meal.

This particular Jersey Mike's is part of a larger complex. Since there are quite a few eateries (mainly chains) that share the space, parking is plentiful but can get a little tight during meal hours. Inside, the space offers...

Ordered on their app for the first time, which said food would be ready at 5:55pm. Knowing that places are overly optimistic I get there at 6:10. Crowded with ordering line and subs people waiting for their orders. No signage for pick up or any markings for people to stay 6ft apart. Go to counter wait a couple of minutes and see an empty bag with a receipt with my order on it. Frazzled worker finally comes up and tells me the order should be coming up. I'm waiting for 20 minutes as at least 10 in store orderers get their meals and a few people get their pickup orders. I finally go to the worker and ask if I should cancel my order and order on line. No help. Finally while looking for another customers order they find mine hidden behind other bags. So because of their unorganized system I'm waiting for 30 minutes for food that is at best ok. What kind of sandwich shop only has one type of cheese(provolone of all types). And their customization definitely needs improvement. Subway ain't great but...
