This one star rating is only for one manager, apparently named Martin, who was at this McDonald's on Friday Sept 20, 2024. I've never seen him here before. All of the other employees have been excellent every time I come to here. I ordered two quarter pounder patties with some onions, ketchup, and mustard on them, an ice cream cone, and some fries. I order the patties the same way at this same place at least once a week as my office is very close. One employee (who I haven't seen at this location before, and whose voice level should only be used outside) came up to the cashier, who has helped me many times, and made her input it as a double quarter pounder minus buns, which costs twice as much as the patties. I stopped him and said no, I want it input as two patties. A few minutes later, after my order was finished, this Martin manager guy came out and told the cashier, right in front of me, that the other way is the right way, and to ignore what I asked for, because "these people won't be able to figure it out," referring to the employees. Incidentally, these employees have figured it out just fine every time I have ordered it. I tried to say something to him about it, but he ignored me and ran away into the back and skulked around behind a wall where I couldn't see him to talk to his extremely loud employee. I don't know what's wrong with this guy, but he seems to lack the appropriate temperament to manage people or deal with customers. I will be coming back to this McDonald's and I will be ordering things how I want them, and if he believes that he can tell me what and how I can order, then he can confront me personally instead of bullying his employees. I look forward to escalating this as high as it will go, as I think anyone who can't look a customer in the eye, and is willing to refer to employees as "these people" should be sweeping the floor, not managing...
Read moreThis is a "Scott Family" franchise. They are known for heavily prioritizing the drive thru. This means if you go inside, they will wait to fill your order until 7-8 cars get their order. When asked about this, they will mention some BS about how most people go through drive thru and you are in line after all those cars for some reason. It doesn't matter if you are the only person inside, and therefore you are first on the "inside" order screen, they will make you wait (usually).
Most fast food places have two lines (inside and outside) and fulfill them simultaneously. So, if the inside is less busy, it's faster to get carry out than use drive thru. Chick-fil-A is an excellent example of this. This McDonald's has two lines too, and you'll notice they have two order screens where they bag the food (one for each line). This franchisee simply ignores the benefits of dual lines and manually fulfills the inside orders after all the "already taken" drive thru orders. This is inefficient and rude to inside customers.
The food is as expected, and the place is clean. Since they penalize the inside guests with intentionally slow service, I cannot recommend this location. The closest, company owned McDonald's is located on Dayton Xenia Road next to Kroger's (about 2...
Read moreThis McDonalds is honestly the worst I've ever seen, and McDonalds is honestly not high quality anyway. Every time I go in there I have to make a second trip back, either because something was forgotten or not made right. The fries are soggy and nasty every time, like they're made an hour in advance. I ordered a parfait on my last visit, never got it. Luckily I checked before I left the parking lot, and when I went through again, I sat at the window for a solid seven minutes waiting for a PARFAIT (sits in the fridge the whole time) and not one person even acknowledged me. Tonight, went through and got two grilled chicken wraps. I checked to make sure they were there before leaving, got home, and they were both fried. Went all the way back to have them replaced, and they gave me grilled chicken this time, that was hard as a rock and had clearly been sitting out long before I got back. I keep going back thinking I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm done with it. They mess up so bad every time, and they're constantly rude about it. Just gonna drive even farther to go to the one on Kauffman because at least they actually bother to read their screens and have great...
