Food: Humus is very good, to some too strong. All the food is perfectly seasoned. Chicken is dry, use the sauce with it. The sauces are very good, request for more. Arabic Salad is bland. Pita bread is freshly made and fluffy. Fries are seasoned and freshly made.
In-depth Information: All the food here is very good. Everything seems to be well seasoned perfectly, the only thing that doesn't have much flavor is the Arabic Salad. The chicken shawarma was good other than that the chicken was dry BUT the taste was phenomenal. Just an extra bit of information on the Humus is that if you like Tahini, the Humus is loaded with it, depending on your preference you may like it or not. Personally I thought the flavor was just right for it. I would request for more of the sauces as the small little cups don't seem to be enough and they do go really well on the chicken and the rice. They have fries that are also seasoned and are freshly made. The pita bread has a nice fluffy texture to it and a very mild but gently sweet taste to them, going well with the Humus.
Service: The lady that served us was very kind, patient, and helpful when we asked some questions about the food.
Atmosphere: The place definitely has a hole in a wall feel to it, which definitely means that the looks on the inside will not match a good/fancy restaurant but there food does make up for the interior/exterior look to...
Read moreThis restaurant is located next to Yaffa Market and isn’t clearly labeled on the outside (in my opinion). There are pictures of food on the windows, but it wasn’t clear to me from the outside if what I was looking at was part of the Yaffa Market or if it was the restaurant I was looking at. The door to the restaurant is on the end of the building, and my husband and I were immediately greeted upon walking in, which was great! It definitely made us feel welcomed and made us feel sure that we were in the correct place. We were told to find a place to sit, and then were given menus. There were tons of meat options, but for vegetarians, there was the vegetarian platter and the falafel wrap. They also had a big selection of appetizers, and several of them are vegetarian-friendly. We ordered the large hummus plate and falafel wraps. The hummus and pita were delicious! The pita was hot and pillowy, and the olive oil in the hummus was truly balanced well with the rest of the flavors. It was also a good hummus-to-pita ratio. The falafel wraps were flavorful, and we both found the chopped up dill to bring a good “zing” to the overall taste. The overall meal was truly great and the value was awesome! With tip, we paid $25 total. We will definitely be back! Delicious food at a great price AND kind & friendly staff? I highly recommend...
Read moreThe wife and I wanted to try some food outside of our normal comfort zone. We chose to try this place after looking it up online. Upon entering the restaurant, the smell of spices filled the air, and it made us even more hungry. Our server/ host, Dua, greeted us with a smile and seated us rather quickly. We had a few questions about the cuisine offered on the menu, and Dua was able to answer all questions and help us order our food. We ordered an appetizer of Falafel, and for the main course, I ordered the Yaffa Spicy Chicken with a side of Baba ghanouj. The wife ordered the Mixed Shawarma with a side of hummus. The Falafel were warm, tasty, and had the perfect crusting. The Yaffa Spicy Chicken had some decent heat to it and was extremely good. I wasn't a big fan of the Baba ghanouj, but I think it was more the texture of it, because the taste was very good. My wife seemed to enjoy her mixed Shawarma but wasn't a fan of the hummus. The best part was when Dua asked if we wanted to try the Baklava. It was GREAT. A lightly sweet mixture of nuts baked in a flaky Philo dough. I would definitely...
