Read moreSince this place opened a while ago, I have been meaning to come here for a meal. I finally had a chance today. My wife and I tried to do lunch dates over other Friday, and I finally convinced her to eat here.
First, I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. It is fun, the colors of the walls are pink or some other light pastel color. The employees are incredibly friendly, greeting us as we came in.
Second, the menu is huge! So many things to choose from! I ran into a little bit of analysis paralysis with this menu, but that is a good thing. I rather have a lot to choose from instead of very little.
Third, the table comes with free homemade tortilla chips and homemade salsa. They are both delicious! The salsa is slightly spicy and is made with fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and lime. It is a tangy flavor and incredibly refreshing to eat. the chips were thin and crispy, and warm if they had just taken it out of the fryer. Together, heaven. Our server ensured that the bowl of salsa is never empty for too long and the chips kept coming. I loved this because some places do not take care of their customers this way.
Ultimately, I chose the Elvis Combo Plate for my meal, which includes a taco, several enchiladas, and a cheese dipped taco shell. I enjoyed it all! My only complaint would be that I wish the ground beef in my taco was a bit more flavorful, but I am not nitpicking. It was still a delicious taco. The enchiladas were great.
This is a Tex Mex restaurant, and it is not ashamed of it. If you are looking for authentic mexican, this is not it. However, Tex Mex is another category of food that is amazingly done here. I would come again.
I am so glad Chuys opened here. I'm coming...
Read moreThis wasnât a great experience and I think that the Management of the restaurant should have realized how bad their server was in the weeds. I went with my sister and three year old niece for a birthday lunch. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was not that busy. We were sat and it took approximately 10 minutes before a server came up to even acknowledge us. He seemed out of sorts and took our drink order. We waited maybe twenty minutes to get our drinks while we watched our same server move slowly through other customer orders. We ordered our food once our drinks came but it was hard to not see that almost all of the customers in our section were extremely frustrated as they were either waiting to order or pay their bill but after we ordered our food it seemed that our server went MIA. I believe it was one of the managers that ran our food to our table. It was a gentleman that appeared to be running things in the dining room and in the kitchen. As we were eating our food, we noticed that the server had reappeared. I thought he would come over to our table to check on us but didnât see him through the course of the meal. As we were finishing up, I mentioned to him that we needed boxes and would take the check. It took forever to get that as well. I paid the bill and just wanted to get out of there as I thought maybe I should speak to the manager then but after being at this place for almost two hours during a not very busy time I was just ready to get out. I understand that the help situation is fairly rough everywhere but please donât just hire a body to fill a slot. Clearly our server had no business serving customers and the experience left a really bad taste...
