I ordered butter chicken online from Doordash for the first time and it was my first experience trying Indian cuisine. The butter chicken tasted delicious and came with a side of rice. I truly enjoyed the dish as it had a great flavor. However, I found the portion size to be inadequate as a full bowl of butter chicken only contained five small chicken pieces and cost me $15. The dish did not satisfy my hunger and left me wanting more. Despite being a great taste experience, it was not enough to keep me full. Edited: I felt like craving some Indian cuisine this winter and decided to have a first-time dine-in experience at Tandoori Fairfax. I was pretty hungry, so I started with pakora; the quality was okay compared to other restaurants, but the price is very affordable. For the main dishes, I ordered butter chicken and also had extra garlic naan for the curry. As for drinks, I had some milk chai—everything was great , food tastes just like online orders, it's amazing.
What's also remarkable is that the portion is finally acceptable; there are plenty of pieces of chicken meat inside the bowl compared to last time's online order. However, I'll give it a four-star rating, not five, because the food portions were cut corners compared to online orders and dine-in. Which is something to me,...

For background, I am from south Asia and I can cook a lot of the dishes made, and even by my lacking standards this food was beyond asinine and morose. I often befriend and trust my own but the level of betrayal was beyond imaginable displayed. As I remained in my seat, hungry, and my food critique lower than it could possibly be, and feeling safe with my order per store employee/server request assuming momo is a safer food to eat as every lay man Nepali person is capable to make, the equivalent of having club sandwich from any American restaurant I was served the most unappealing appetizing creation to even be near of. I ordered momo, it was beyond greasy, low quality, poorly made which is a sad excuse for someone from Nepal. The dumpling wrap be it handmade or store bought which I honestly have no preference was broken, and water entered into the momo which made this already poor excuse of feed into an inedible object.
I sincerely hope this place improves upon it's quality and service as I always wish the best for my own.
I hope the reviewers, restaurant owner can take this "food" for thought with a...
Read moreI attended a private lunch buffet service at this restaurant that was set up for friends and family to celebrate a graduation. Well the restaurant was nicely decorated the service and timeliness of when food was served to the guests was poor. Most of the guests arrived by 11:00 and waited for appetizers to be served. It wasn't until noon time when the appetizers were put out. People were so hungry that they filled up on appetizers. The main meal was served 1 hour after the appetizers after 1:00 by that time people were all full up on appetizers. When the main meal was served nobody was hungry at that point. I felt that they purposely did that so they wouldn't have to keep replenishing the main meal once they set it up for the first time. Also they purposely set turned off the AC in the restaurant where people felt very uncomfortable. The wife of the owner is very rude and always was looking to cut corners and not deliver on what they agreed upon. They certainly did not replenish items in the buffet and were quick to shut down the buffet. All in all it was a very...
