Please think twice before visiting the Popeyes at 2981 Princeton Rd. I was there on Tuesday 09/09/25. I ordered 1 of their wing special because we simply wanted to try them. There was a challenged young man working the counter that was taking my order. He was having a difficult time taking my order & they(manager & her sister, another employee refused to assist him. Finally, the customer who came in after me got soo frustrated, he just threw up his arms and walked out. The young man finally pleaded with the manager to help him out. I received my order, thanked the young gentleman and left. When I got home to the west side of hamilton; I took out our meal & was taken aback. This is what our food looked like. I called over to Popeyes and it took 3 calls before someone even picked up! Instead of answering the call in a professional manner i.e. hi ty for calling Popeyes, this person just says hello! I said hi I'm trying to reach a Mgr. This person informs me I was speaking with one. I commenced to explain my complaint, she tells me if I come back she would prepare a new batch. I said I lived all the way on the west side of Hamilton & that I was not going way back over that way today. She says I will take down your name in when you come back in you will have a credit. I went back over there "with the receipt and the food the very next day. I opened the first box and showed the manager the food and I said this is totally unacceptable and I preceded to open the second box which was the buffalo, and I simply said I would not feed this to my dog. She looks at me with scorn on her face and said did you call to complain? I informed her that I had and the person who answered took my name and told me I would have a credit. I told her I did not want any more chicken I just wanted a refund. I could hear the Mgr. talking to other crew members while she is looking up my name and she tells them that I was rude. She came back & asked me what number did I dial and I said the number on the receipt. She preceded to call me a liar and said I would not be getting a refund because she had not spoken to me nor anyone else working had. She said my name was not in the books and I showed a customer my order and I said can you believe this! The sister that works at the restaurant also was lingering in the front and saw me show him the order and responded now you definitely will not be getting a refund. The other sister which is supposedly the Mgr. calls I'm presuming the owner and he tells her to tell me to leave and I said not without my refund and I can hear him on the end tell her that I would not getting a refund. At this point I was livid and I said I bet you I will be refunded even if I have to get in touch with corporate. He responds and when you do I will be responding to the call. So, I took this to mean this was a franchise and he was the owner. Meanwhile, I took the food, my receipt and left. I sit out in my car and preceded to look up a way to make a formal complaint. While filling out a form both sisters exited the Popeyes because the younger one was getting off of work and the Mgr. was walking her to her vehicle. Instead of her getting in her vehicle and just leaving, she begans to taunt me. I get out of my vehicle to take a picture of her plate so I could place this info. in my formal complaint and the big sister, which is supposedly, a Mgr. comes back out, her sister gets out of her vehicle and says to her sister she's taking a picture of my plates. At that point they both accosted me and challenged me to a fight. The younger sister took off her shoes walked up on me chest to chest while the other one which is the Mgr. threatened me that I had better not touch her sister. She told her younger sister to not strike me first but she is on me chest to chest and after she finishes with all her rave in vulgarity she turns and pushes me while walking off. There is so much more to this story and I did not mean to write a book but I just had to get this out there. Please avoid...
Read moreAnother terrible employee that probably shouldn't be working customer service. Refuses to acknowledge your existence when you enter the restaurant. When you try to ask them a question ignore you and then get aggravated that they have to stop and listen. Very rude and unprofessional.
Daughter wanted Popeyes so came here again hoping for a better experience. Sat in the drive-thru at the sign for probably at least ten minutes without even being acknowledged in any way. Waited a few more minutes and decided to go inside. Two doordashers were the only customers inside. So I can't figure out why they couldn't at least greet me in the drive-thru. Waited at the counter for another ten minutes with the employees walking past and no greeting or anything. I can see at least three or four employees in the back but nobody comes up to take my order. Finally I had to flag one of them down and asked why the drive-thru and the front counter was down with no cushion the store. Which causes her to become very irritated and angrily asked what I wanted. I gave my order, paid and she just walks away. No thank you or anything. And then guess what? I waited some more and more and more and more. Finally she slides my water off the counter and basically just says here you go and walked away again so I turned around went to the little napkin holder place opened up my order and half of it was missing. I turned around to let her know and the lady that had been waiting in the Drive-Thru apparently had gotten charged way more than she was supposed to do for her order so she comes was there trying to get a refund I tried to mention to her if my wings might still be sitting there so I can get going. And she ignored me and didn't even acknowledge that I had asked anything and continued to be frustrated trying to figure out how to do a refund for this lady. When she's done with the refund she turned around and started to walk away again so I somewhat angrily almost not quite asked her if my wings were sitting there still and she turned around and looked at me with like a weird expression on her face and I said you forgot my wings and she seemed to be upset at me for it and she turned around and said it's going to be a minute they just put wings down. So guess what? I waited and waited and waited again. This is ridiculous I'm so pissed off so the original food that I got in the first place by the time I got my chicken wings for cold that I was bringing home for my daughter. I cannot believe the store owner or management allows service like this they weren't even busy there was nobody there I don't understand why they couldn't do it...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience with both this store as well as the corporate office. Pull up a chair and grab your snacks, this will be a long one. I went to this location yesterday and initially intended on going through the drive thru. When I pulled up to the speaker I was rudely greeted by a young lady whom clearly had better things she could’ve been doing. I tried to just move on and place my order but she cut me off and gave me a total before I could finish. I decided I’d just go in for a quicker and prayerfully easier transaction… I was wrong. I went in and waited at least 15 minutes before my order was taken. I saw the manager inside but she was also packing orders so I didn’t even bother interrupting her to express my frustrations. Once I received my food I asked for a receipt in which I was printed a random receipt from the register (not my original order receipt) and this is without mentioning the fact that they never have the desserts they advertise and I didn’t even get my dang biscuit but don’t go anywhere yet this is where it gets interesting. I leave and call corporate where I was told to download the app and call back for a resolve all for me to call back and be offered a $5 coupon after spending nearly $50 and waiting for a total of 30 minutes on the phone. After I expressed that that wouldn’t work for me it was increased to $10. I then asked to speak to a Supervisor I was told that one wasn’t present and it was unknown when one would be available. I called back again today and still couldn’t get to a Supervisor but was granted a $20 coupon for 2 days o of inconvenience over something that could’ve been a simple drive thru transaction. I’m not at all a happy customer and with this being the only location in my area it’s likely I’ll no longer be eating at Popeyes. This entire ordeal was extremely unprofessional and I’ll be sure to tell any and everyone I come into contact with about this horrible experience with both the store and corporate office.
