My friend and I took our boys yesterday. We waited about 45 minutes for a table. Not too bad. We went to play games while we waited. The games were ok, but really expensive. I was expecting that they would be expensive but I wasn't prepared for how much they actually were. We bought the $100 card and blew through that in an hour and a half. Some games charged us but didn't work. You have to watch that. Especially if you give your kid a card and they just keep tapping the game and getting charged for a defective game. It will keep taking your credits from your card. Our table was ready and we got one menu to share between the four of us. Our server wasn't really pleasant. I dont know why I was expecting any great experience. She definitely didn't want to be working that day. And we weren't difficult or rude so I know it wasn't us. One kid got a cheeseburger, and the rest of us ordered chicken strips. I thought they would be adult size food but when they came, they were shockingly less appealing than Jack in the Box chicken strips. I was actually shocked. The carrot sticks looked recycled from other plates that didnt eat them. I didn't want to complain in front of the kids so I kept my mouth shut. The server forgot my fries and we didn't get napkins. I had to wait for her to finally come back around to ask about the fries. And then she walked away so fast so we had to wait to get napkins. Not a huge big deal but it was sticky food because of the sauces. They were actually pretty good but they were really thin and runny. My sons chicken strips were smaller than mine, which were really small, and my 13 year old is almost 6ft. I knew this was going to be more of a snack and I was going to have to give him an actual dinner once we left. The food was not good. I feel that if you pay $15. for chicken strips and fries, they should look like they are at least on par with Applebee's. They weren't even close. This was our first time going. The two guys that worked in the game section were the best part of our visit. They were friendly and polite. The food was terrible, the menu doesn't even work well for a place like that and in a city such as Fairfield. They try to be fussy when they need to simplify the menu and focus more on quality and better portions rather...
Read moreUPDATE: Management reached out and I am very pleased on how they handled everything. We love this specific location and honestly like my previous review we were never going to stop coming but just wanted to point out a flaw. Tonight we used Dave & Busters to surprise our kids on welcoming their daddy back home from a 7 month deployment. Everything went well and was perfect! Food, servers, everything was exceptional. So anyone who experienced a bad time, give them a chance to turn it around. Thank you to the team at Dave and Busters for tonight’s mission on “operation welcome dad home!”
Specifically to the Manager Michelle M. Idk how you’ve been the manager over there for the past few years but you my friend need training on professionalism! Idk how you are the manager compared to the other employees who helped me and my big family tonight. You lack customer services and reading some reviews in the past I see I’m not the only one who thinks this about you. I couldn’t believe you refused to have my little kids be secured sitting in a booth. I watched that booth sit empty for the longest time. You said verbatim “first come first serve” we were there it was empty and I had reservations. I understand you didn’t like that I confronted you about the definition “reservation” but that doesn’t mean you get to treat us poorly. Thankfully we had an AHHMAZING waitress that made up for your poor customer service and disrespect. I’m sure the place will run smoothly without you! You won’t get very far with that disrespectful behavior! Kudos to the rest of the staff though you guys are...
Read moreI had the worst experience of my life at this place. I’m an immigrant (I don’t know if they would have done the same to a native person) who came to this country to do things the right way. I’m an engineer working in the energy industry, and I have a clean record because I follow the law. But yesterday, I was made to feel like a criminal here — all because my partner was wearing a shirt that, according to their dress code, was “inappropriate.”
I wouldn’t have had a problem if they had told us at the entrance that we couldn’t come in, but no one greeted us or checked as we walked in. We sat at the bar and waited for about 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order.
Then, out of nowhere, a woman who claimed to be the manager showed up with two security guards who looked like retired wrestlers. She spoke to us in an aggressive and disrespectful way, telling us we had to leave immediately because my partner’s outfit didn’t meet their dress code. Again — I can understand enforcing a policy, but there’s a right way to speak to people and explain the situation.
Instead, the “manager” grabbed our drinks and threw them in our faces. I told her we would leave if she refunded our money, but she refused because I had drunk about a quarter of my drink (After an argument, they proceeded to give me my money back). Not wanting trouble, we picked up our things and walked out — with the “retired wrestler” security guard following us.
This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had in the so-called “land of opportunity.” I wouldn’t recommend this...
