Yesterday, my family and I went to Frank and Yuen's for the first time. When we came in the first thing you smell is a strong scent of sewer. It was unsettling and off-putting. We should have left then, but it took an act of congress to find a sit down Chinese restaurant that looked good. The hostess/waitress that greeted us was great. She was kind and funny, and quick. The next issue we had was the fact there were large flies in he restaurant. I attempted to kill one that was hanging around the table; which prompted the older waitress maybe owner to come stand over the table staring without saying anything. When I looked at her she tried to say that she was checking the window to see if I broke it. I hit the window with a menu. I can promise you I didn't break the window. So I am annoyed, but food starts coming out. The food is hot and fresh and the portion sizes are huge. The food was really good. Everything was really good, and we spent just under $100 ordering different things. When we finished our meal and paid, I left more than a 20% tip and the older woman comes up to me and says, I just want you to know that you broke my window. The window was not broken at all. Not when I got there, and not when I left. IT was insulting to be treated like that after spending money in someone's establishment. It's a shame that person felt at liberty to treat myself and my family so rudely, because I will...
Read moreThis place is D-LICIOUS and the customer service is equally EXCEPTIONAL! After finding the place I wanted to try was closed I remembered Frank and Yuen’s (the only reason I hadn’t chosen this place first is I specifically wanted combo plates to try new yummy items.) Upon calling and inquiring we found out they did serve combo plates even during dinner service!!! The woman who took our order over the phone was AWESOME, she customized our dishes, explained menu items, and was SUPER personable, inviting, kind and down to earth! She didn’t try to upsell us, everything we asked for she said yes! When we arrived the food was ready, hot and fresh! And the service continued to be EXCELLENT. We were greeted at the door and treated like VIP’’s! The servings were GREAT! The 2 combo plates were enough to easily feed a family of 4 (if not 6!). I will post pics below, they are day 2 pics. We had sooo much leftovers, so glad I won’t have to cook tonight too! This place is a MUST go if you are looking for delicious Chinese cuisine and 5...
Read moreMy husband and I had been looking for an authentic Chinese food restaurant for awhile now. Hearing from a few people Feank and Yuen's was the place to try. It was definitely a good recommendation. While the atmosphere is a bit outdated , the service and food made up for that. Our server was so nice, and you could see she has been a part of this establishment for awhile but still enjoyed her job. So the wantons with sweet and sour sauce come out first with a delicious vegetable soup. I really enjoyed that. I ordered the orange chicken with steamed rice while my husband had the Kung Pao chicken with steamed rice. Not only did we have enough for lunch at the restaurant but we had dinner for that night also. Paying the $50 plus tip was well worth two meals for each of us that day. And the food was delicious. So I give Frank and Yuen's a 4 out of 5...
