BEING BORN AND RAISED IN THE CITY OF NEWARK N.J.AND NOW BEING A PART OF THE BABY BOOMER GENERATION WHO ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS WHO GREW UP IN NEWARK'S NORTH WARD. THERE WERE THREE HOT DOG TRUCKS, ONE WAS TONYS ON LAKE STREET AND PARK AVENUE, EDDIE HOT DOGS ON BLOOMFIELD AVENUE AND LAKE STREET AND THE LAST ONE WAS J.J.S ALSO ON BLOOMFIELD AVENUE AND LAKE STREET . NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT THERE WAS FRICTION BETWEEN JJ AND EDDIE'S HOT DOGS EVEN THOUGH MY MEMORY WAS THAT EDDIE'S WAS THERE BEFORE J.J.S. EVEN THOUGH THE TWO HOT DOG TRUCKS WERE PLACED APART FROM EACH OTHER. WHEN EDDIE'S OWNER PASSED AWAY, JJ HOT DOGS TRUCK STOOD THE TEST OF TIME IS STILL THERE TO THIS DAY. Eat here. Be happy. Live a little. Trust...
