Visited around 8:15 p.m. on a cold December 11th, 2019. The place was mostly empty, but cozy. Food is tasty, with robust flavors; genre Americanized Italian comfort food.
LaRosa's offers variety in the menu, quality ingredients, and reasonable prices. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old "Mom and Pop's" pizza parlor with family photos on the walls, jerseys from the local high schools and views of the kitchen.
Seating extends throughout the building making division into sections more efficient for servers, traffic patterns, and turning over clientele.
A unique touch is seen in the sectioning of tables and chairs, and a few rows of semi-private highbacked wooden booths that offer patrons a modicum of privacy or foster a romantic mood. Ergonomically, the comfort of the booths is a 6 out of 10 for spaciousness, and comfort. (If you are vertically blessed, well-endowed MN, or can convincingly play "Santa" without a pillow belly the boothes are a perfect fit for a party of two and perhaps 2 small children.)
The booths are a tight fit for a group of 4 unless at least 2 people are children, or in the case of 4 adults, most everyone in a party of 4 is within their recommended BMI. Expecting/ mothers-to-be? Expect more comfort seated at a...
Read moreHad a carryout pizza at this LaRosa's location on Sunday, 11/12/23. We were very disappointed in the pizza. There was too much of everything, too much sauce, too much mushrooms and too much jalapeño. We did not order any extra's. My wife could not eat it. I called the 347-1111 center to complain and they were nice about it and gave me a $10 credit. I insisted that I didn't want a refund, but I only complained so that they would do a better job next time. I'm only writing this review because the supervisor at the LaRosa's call center came across as if she only wanted to get me off the phone and the store manager would never hear me compliant. I like this location, it's close to my house and I want to trust them enough to come back.
Update: I immediately heard from the GM of Fairfield LaRosa's which means they really care about their customers - I really appreciate their concern. I look forward to returning to this store for dinner. I raise my rating from a 3...
Read moreI used to love LaRosas. It has been a while since I had it. I ordered, for pickup and to go, 5 buffalo boneless wings amd a cauliflower crust pizza. Ate only one of the wings as they were quite aweful. They also did not look that great. I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with bacon, ham, pineapple, and mushroom. It looked great but did not taste that way. I have had some great thin crispy cauliflower crust pizzas at other places that are equally as good as other pizza crusts. Unfortunately this one was chewy and really rather terrible. Do not judge cauliflower crusts by this pizza. I can't recommend. Maybe by happen stance it was the things I ordered but didn't eat much of it as it was so not good so try something nothing else on the menu if you go. I should have got their rhondos....those used to be good. I probably will not be back though as paid almost $30 for food with bad taste. Manager should taste test...
