This specific McDonald's is notorious for making mistakes for drive-through orders. Without exaggeration, approximately 50% to 70% of our drive-through visits result in meal order mistakes ranging from missing drinks, missing fries, wrong toppings, missing sides. After the first 10 or so mistakes we learned our lesson and literally unbag everything at the drive-through window before driving off to avoid having to circle back around or even worse, get home and have to drive back to the store. On more than one occasion where we've had to drive back to the store, the manager on duty intently scrutinized our receipt and bagged order, assuming we were being deceptive to get "free" food, asserting that the missing item(s) were in the bag and we removed them.
We receive the wrong orders so frequently that our kids jokingly refer to the Black Rock location as "McWrongels" (as the order is "wrong" more often than not).
If you're wondering why we keep coming back to this particular location, it's because this particular McDonald's is a 3-minute drive from our home. Pure convenience. Time permitting, we drive 5x further to the location at 1900 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport, CT which gets our order correct 100% of the time. The staff there are also infinitely more kind and courteous compared to the Black Rock store, and the drive-through line moves much more quickly.

Read moreToday I went to this McDonald’s to get some pancakes and a Mocha Frappe, first off I want to say that I support the mask mandate, I am a safety first kind of person, I am vaccinated and I have a vaccine card. When I went there between 09:00 am and 10:00 am I first spent 40 minutes in the drive thru there was only 1 window open on a Monday morning. Then I was already late so I decided to sit down and eat breakfast. I took the food inside and was about to sit down with my mask 😷 in my hand and food in my other hand when the manager told me to put on my mask. I responded with “ I will, but I have food in my hands and I am going to sit in the seat I front of me and eat” again she said “put your mask on” and again I said “I’m about to eat”.
Now she said “STOP BEING FRESH WITH ME!”
What did I do to deserve that? I am a mask supporting mask wearing person who just walked in from a very long wait in her drive thru so I could sit down and eat. If she wanted to make sure she just needed to say it in a nice way.

Read moreI am not happy. I recently ordered off of Uber eats, and the food I ordered compared to received was flat out comical. A buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich was ordered and a cold piece of American cheese slapped between two stale buns was the result. I also ordered a milkshake and did not receive it, so there’s five dollars down the drain. By the way, I was able to get one the next day and it had the consistency of toothpaste and tasted like it too. One of the sandwiches ordered were correct, but was cold and slapped with a chunky layer of mayonnaise and had a side of hard crispy “fries.” Not to mention one of the meals did not even come with fries. I was irate and requested a refund which I did not receive and was told to contact Uber eats. I tried contacting the restaurant and finally got them to answer twenty minutes after my first call and was greeted by a unhelpful rude lady who told me my order was correct and no refund was needed.
