Old Post Tavern — Restaurant in Fairfield

A friend and I ordered from here on Uber Eats, and it was absolutely inedible. I can't stress enough how I never write reviews unless it's bad and it was BAD. Ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese salad with shrimp. Literally the smallest handful of arugula for $9, had apple in there that is not listed under the Google menu (that I made the mistake of looking at since my friend was ordering off her phone) in which, I am allergic to. No nuts, and barely any goat cheese. And on top of it, an extra $9 for 4 TINY shrimp. $18 for basically nothing. When you order the arugula salad from Craft 260 you get the LARGEST order with 6 big shrimp for a cheaper price. Unfortunately they were unavailable and decided to try this...big mistake. Also ordered a CHEESEburger that had NO cheese on it and was a hockey puck. And the French onion soup was also missing cheese. Did they run out of cheese??? Also ordered the chocolate cake and it was a melted puddle. Called OPT to let them know and their attitude pretty much said we don't give AF that they made this horrendous meal they had the audacity to serve to customers, and told me to take it up with Uber Eats. Umm they didn't make the food! I have been working in the food industry for over 10 years and if I were them I would be embarrassed and so apologetic if I received a call with this news. I was not rude, I just tried to explain how seriously bad it was, and not even an apology. Pretty much didn't want to deal with it. Shame on them. I've had decent meals in-house in the past. You'd think they'd deliver the same quality with delivery services. ...

Never been treated so bad food served cold 4 people ordered the same dish 1 got served when brought the other 3 the plates were smaller with 3 shrimp in comparison to 1 that had 5 shrimp and was hot, we sent it back to be corrected and they refused to serve us which by the way 1 guest paid the whole bill and we never got to eat after sitting there. A waiter male came up and told us you don't like how we made your food go somewhere else. That was it get us a manager, someone who said he would fix the problem, then said he couldn't help us cause the owner wasn't there. Oh did I forget to mention the woman who paid the bill ordered a Pizza that came out With a bite taken. Two tables of African Americans, were both seated in the back of the restaurant I knew then it wasn't going to be a good experience. I'm so sorry for our young Sweet Watress, who just cried and kept saying you don't deserve to be treated this way. The kitchen refused to fix their mistake and said they weren't going serve us. Smdh. Never again!! I couldn't trust the kitchen if they did right their wrong. Mind you they were the one's who made the mistake and got mad cause we asked...

My husband and I had the worst experience at this place on Friday. We decided to stop in, since we were closeby... neither of us had ever been. As soon as we were seated our waitress greeted us and kept rolling her eyes at us. We thought it was weird, but we continued to be polite to her. My husband noticed a fly in his drink, so he waved down the waitress to inform her... she continued to have attitude. (Literally roller her eyes). She returned with another drink and as soon as my husband went to take a sip he noticed the same fly in his drink. My husband then waved down a different associate to inform them of the situation. She apologized and went to fix the issue. She returned with an entirely different drink than the one we ordered. My husband asked her why the drink was blue when he ordered a dark and stormy (which is pretty much rum and ginger-beer). She told him it was blue because a different bartender made it. He said but it’s not what I ordered. She then looked at him as though he should have still drank it. We then laughed and said this was absolutely ridiculous and left. This was absolutely unacceptable....
