Pelayo's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Fairfield

This is right near my house, so I go here often. However, I am allergic to avocado so today I ordered carnitas nachos with no guacamole and extra meat. Usually this place is great, but today they gave me nachos with guacamole. I didnt check it in store like I usually do, I was in a hurry to get home. Once I opened, saw the guacamole we called to ask what they wanted us to do. Well, they asked if we'd come back and for some reason they wanted me to bring back my nachos.

I drove back, they took my nachos back which is a health code violation, cross contamination and all. I went to wait, was not paying attention... I get my nachos back, they don't seem super nacho-ie. Really light on cheese and there is a second dollop of sour cream. I assume its because they're busy, whatever. I get home and I start eating. I eat the edges first, well while I was eating the chips shift and I see guacamole smeared on chips partially covered by sour cream.

They had taken my nachos back, scraped most of the cheese and guacamole off, then covered it with sour cream.

This resteraunt was a go to for me, once or twice a week.

They are so disingenuous and untrustworthy, they are willing to compromise peoples health in more than one way in order to make a bottom line, they're lucky I didn't eat the guacamole as they could've been served worse than a stern talking to. I'm still debating about calling the public health department and filing...

This place used to be great. Now it's a rip-off. Getting ready for work at night and the family wanted Palayo's super tacos. It took forever to order because the Arab kid was taking orders and running to tables. After 40 minutes waiting a girl that looks like she worked next door at Happy Garden brought my food bags. I ordered super burrito and 10 super tacos. I get home to drop food at home and just enough time to leave for work. As I'm leaving everyone asks where's the the super. I check my receipt and everything says super but the cold slop I had is anything but super. I called for refund and as many times as I explained the situation they wanted me to bring the food back to fix or refund. So I turn around making me late to work to get my money back. I explain again over and over even to manager on phone and they want to only refund the super price. But they can't even do that. I won't be back and neither will my family. I live in California so there are plenty of other tacos out there. One star is one too many for...

Went here for a lunch break because i seen the 4. Whatever rating. Sadly to say ordering my Chicken torta a fairly easy dish was not what i expected. The chicken was plopped on the sandwich and reminded me of canned tuna. Very flavorless and the beans and chicken were pouring out the sides like a sloppy joe. I also ordered jamica (hibiscus drink) which i love this also lacked flavor very waterdown. Upon eating the sandwich i got fed up cause of the mess and went to grab utensils and even that was a struggle. Each fork and knife that was grabbed was filthy stains not only from the dishwasher heat which is common but dust and webs around multiple. I like the friendly service but some things do...
