Chaats Cuisine — Restaurant in Fairfield

This is my fourth time here, and first to order to go. I come from Vallejo and is a 20-25 minute long drive everytime (x2 for round-trip time).

Whoever is manning the kitchen is doing a phenomenal job. Prices are fantastic (low $10s) for all their popular dishes.

Chicken tikamasala and lamb are by far their most popular and never disappoint. Creamy but not thick, extremely tasty.. pairs great with their CHEESE NAN (not on menu.. ask for it). The portions are hearty and will fill you up and leaving you wanting a little bit more.

This is one of those restaurants where your wife/girlfriend will give you an evil look if you reach over to try tout eat her left overs.

These low cost restaurants around the Fairfield area depend on labor provided by UC Davis campus students. Unfortunately, Vallejo is too far from both SF city and Davis to benefit from these labor so... restaurants in Vallejo fail to be competitive.

This was our first experience ordering takeout from Chaats Cuisine in Fairfield, CA. A disappointment for sure, we will not be ordering or eating from here again. We do not recommend this restaurant! The fish curry consisted of fish fritters, the taste of flour in curry is not appetizing and the curry was totally bland. The fish biryani was not biryani - very much like pulao which is overcooked. It seems as though they probably used their regular rice and added the shrimp curry to it. This is not "BIRYANI"! The Chaat Papri was substituted with 'Dal Tadka'???? The Fish Platter was dry and tasteless. The Kulfi was not authentic Kulfi but the one you get in a container at the Indian grocery stores. Just a sad mush. Sadly, our experience eating at Chaats Cuisine was not what we expected. Once we arrived to the restaurant, after placing an online order. We informed the hostess/cashier that we wanted to eat in the restaurant. She said it was okay. We chose a table and took our food out. We realized there were no utensils in the to go bags. We also needed plates as the food for two orders was placed in one container. We had to ask different times for items such a plates, napkins, and to go boxes.
