Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Fairfield

I’ve ate here many times but I will never eat here again because of the horrible customer service. I had an experience where I completely felt uncomfortable; the guy who was handing me my food decided to be extremely rude. I wasn’t in the best attire but who is he to judge? I was simply picking up a Togo order. I would’ve never written this review if the manager would’ve sounded like she cared, but instead she belittled the things I explained to her. He tried to make me take a message when I called back to talk to a manager and I explained to him I couldn’t and he proceeded to ask me more than once to leave a message; I told him I’d wait to speak to the manager. So that gives me all the more reason to write this review to make sure their higher up sees this. Their approaches were unprofessional. He also was not looking at my face (if you get what I mean) within the duration of me speaking to him which made me feel even more uncomfortable and infuriated; and this isn’t something you should play about as a manager because if he does it to the next person they might not be so nice next time. Apparently they don’t have plates or containers to hand out anymore to Togo orders as well as no silverware(was in the bag), and extra soy is now two😂. Well I think you should retrain your employees who have never had a problem giving me any of these things. He also gave me a fork for rice when I asked for silverware; so y’all don’t have spoons either?... I had no problem being nice and asking for these things in a manner where I would not get judged any further. I was told to go sit down while he went to go retrieve my order; as if I’m a little kid? I’ve never been told that by any other employee... and it was more so about how he came at me. Just a tip to their employees, you don’t treat anyone rudely; we are all humans and it’s completely wrong to act in the manner that was portrayed to me. Google asked for another review. 1 star is generous!! I believe I have only rated one other place with one star in my 700ish reviews. I will never go back! My mom wanted to go so we went in. Absolutely EVERYTHING was so sticky from the table to the chairs to the walls from the grease I felt disgusted sitting down. They changed ownership less than a year ago and it shows!! The food we got was not edible. It was all dripping in grease with the exception of the Edamame. I have always left a tip. Our waiter was only present for the order, to give us the food and hand us the check. We moved ourselves to another table because of the grease, had to find silverware from another table, and get another waiter to get us some water. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. NOT RECOMMENDED. NOT RETURNING. (I wish they had not deleted the pictures I posted of their bathroom! Absolute filth, garbage can overflowing, no seat covers, no toilet paper, no paper towels. Disgusting!) __

Below was my review 1/2 a year ago. I gave 4 stars. Tonight I went back & it gets 1 star. The restraunt is under new management. I posted 2 pictures of the bathroom which are appalling. The Asian Chicken Salad my friend ordered was barely edible and the calamari appetizer I always have ordered for years and said I have not found anywhere that makes it better was awful.

This is extremely disappointing considering the very few places to eat down in this area. Now we have one less. Neither one of us plan on returning. It is one of the few nice restaurants in this area for the locals. It has live music on certain nights, a wide variety of food to pick from, a bar, outside area, and is family friendly. The service is good and price fairly reasonable. Lately the food has been all a bit oily and I don't know why the change. The calamari appetizer is out...

By far the scariest restaurant I’ve ever been to. I have never had a worse experience in my life. I’ve been to a lot of “hole in the wall” type restaurants but this place was something else. The ambiance was so scary. I felt like I was in a different dimension or in the Truman show (if you’ve ever seen that movie). The food we got was not good at all. We got kung pao chicken (this tasted more like they put red enchilada sauce over top of chicken + veggies) orange Chicken (this tasted like actual Lysol wipes) and the sticky fried rice (idk how this was ever considered sticky rice. It was dry and had a weird flavor). I’ve been to many restaurants and many Chinese restaurants, and never had a weirder experience than this. I’m not from the area, but even if I was I would never come back here again. I’m sorry.

Also, on top of the very scary ambiance and the not good food, they overcharged us! We ordered happy hour drinks and were charged full price! The original drinks we ordered were not available so we ordered something else and we were charged full price. We tried to find our waitress and she was nowhere. We were more scared than anything so we ran out of there after paying. The vibe/ambiance was so weird and scary.

I must also put that we came around 5:45p on a Thursday. The place was not busy and there was a lot of staff. I’ve worked in a restaurant before so I don’t understand why we couldn’t find...
