First come first serve is what we were told. Which is fine. I went there to have a graduation/gender reveal with my family. As I walked in, I was greeted by a very nice lady who I spoke to about our party of 8 and how we preferred to have our own table. She said there was a waiting time of 30 min. Which I was perfectly fine with. Somewhere during our wait, there was miscommunication and I was approached by another lady who was not wearing her mask (restaurant requires mask) and she was asking about our party and so I explained again the party size and the need For a private table. She rudely said “okay” and mumbles something and walks away. She came back and tells us to follow her to a table where there was 4 people sitting. I explained again, there was 8 of us and we would be sitting right next to the family of 4. So she asked me if we didn’t want to sit there (in front of the family) I said “I said would wait for a private table” she gets upset and shoos us out of the dining area and says “fine”. It was so awkward and she was so rude without her mask talking with people. She made a joke about “covid” to customers coming in. She said “covid is limiting the people who can sit at a table” with a smirk on her face and started to laugh while our party was sitting right there. Unfortunately, it only took one employee to make this experience uncomfortable and awkward. I did not enjoy the food and the chef did not say a single word to us. I wouldn’t say I don’t recommend them because it could have been us who they were annoyed with. I say try it and be observant of the things I mentioned and hopefully you have a better experience...
Read moreWe came to Hinata for the hibachi for my co-worker’s last day. We reserved a table for 5:30pm and we were seated beforehand in a private room with the hibachi. Drinks and appetizers were quick to come out and since it was between 3-6pm, the we got Happy Jour prices on select drinks, sushi rolls and appetizers. For the hibachi, we each choose our main entree (each entree includes miso soup, salad, 3 grilled shrimp appetizer, grilled vegetables, fried rice and scoop or vanilla or matcha ice cream). Henry was our chef and he did a wonderful job with his cooking skills and jokes. We got to experience fire, Henry squirting sake into our mouths, Henry flipping pieces of egg into our mouths and fire juggling at the end of his service. There were quite a few out of our crown of 10 people that have never experienced hibachi dinner before, so they thought it was a lot of fun. The prices for hibachi $33 to $75 depending on your entree selection (most items were under $40). The flavor or the food was good overall and not overly salty. I had the Hibachi Steak (New York Steak) which was cooked to about medium well (I asked for medium), but was still tender and juicy. The grilled shrimp and grilled chicken (tasted my co-worker’s dish) were good as well. Overall, it was a fun experience for everyone and we would consider coming here again for a future...
Read moreSo we were a surprise birthday party of 32. A few of us arrived early to set up balloons and enjoy happy hour. We are a very blended family. The Asian side of the family got no problems ordering drinks and appetizers. The waitress looked at the other side of the family and acted as if she didn't understand that we were together and wanted plum wine. When it was time to go to our tables they did not have enough seats set up for us even though we came to location to see if they could fit us all. Once we squeezed in where we could make room we finally got to order. The same waitresses had such a nasty attitude while taking our orders. Asked for a plate and to add salmon too the order. She insisted that we needed to order a whole order. After making it clear that we didn't need all the side she said that she would find out how much a side of salmon would be. $15 and $35 is a big difference. We had two grills but our cooks came out at different times. One table was eating before the other tables food was being cooked. The only plus side of this visit was the cook. He was great. Very nice and friendly. The food is not good at all. Not seasoned, no flavor and overcooked. Looks good but does not taste the best. Please just spend the money and go to the original...
