We had the absolute BEST experience at Romanacci’s in Fairfield, on Post Road! My family and I were in town for Family Weekend at Sacred Heart University and decided to stop in for dinner with our son around 5:00 p.m. We didn’t have a reservation and the place was understandably packed, but the manager went above and beyond, finding a way to seat us and make us feel welcome. That kind of effort and hospitality is rare, and it completely set the tone for the night.
The service was flawless, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. Every single member of the staff was friendly and professional. The food? Out of this world. From the appetizers of Calamari Fritti to the main courses of Chicken Parmigiana, Penne ala Vodka with chicken, and Strozzapreti Gricia Piato with chicken every bite was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can taste the passion and quality in everything they serve. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable, whether you’re celebrating with family, date night, or just grabbing a casual meal. Our son loved it, and we all agreed that this will be a regular stop every time we’re in town. We even ordered an additional Penne ala Vodka to go, so he could have another great meal this coming week. Romanacci’s doesn’t just serve food, they deliver an EXPERIENCE. A huge thank you to the manager and team for turning what could have been a stressful, no-table situation into one of the highlights of our weekend. Highly,...
Read moreFirst, Maurizio is an excellent host....right from the door, the reception was warm. engaging and hospitable. We spoke with him at length, it felt like visiting a friend rather than our first visit.
Giovanni who was our server was not only personable, he was knowledgeable about the menu and made wonderful recommendations.
I will have better pictures next time. This New Yorker was thoroughly impressed with the pizza...thin crust, delicious sauce, the garlic knots were soft and garlicky.
My linguini alla vongole was DIVINE...fresh clams, garlicky white sauce, al dente linguini. My palette was beyond satisfied.
My old fashioned with Woodford Reserve was perfection on the tongue.
Now for the piece de resistance, I went for the cheese cake on the suggestion of both gentlemen and I'm glad I didn't stick to my "I can't stand cheese cake" mantra. I am not going to describe it because there are some things in life that one must experience for oneself.
I have missed Fairfield Social which was previously in this location but I am glad it has been replaced by this magnificent addition to our community.
This is my new brunch, lunch, dinner, night cap spot.

Read moreI saw on line that they had a “buy one get one” for their mega pizza,(a big rectangle pizza, the biggest I have ever seen). The first pizza w toppings (broccoli raab & sausage) and the free one plain cheese. I paid extra and had mushrooms put on the cheese one. The boxes were so big the waiter put them in my car. The sausage pizza was a white pizza and the cheese one had the tomato sauce. I have to admit the tomato sauce on the cheese pizza was delicious, noticeably so with first bite. I froze the leftovers and when I crave a piece I slightly microwave it to soften and melt the cheese, then throw the piece on my cast iron pan, on med heat, until the bottom is crispy. It’s like it just came out of the pizza oven. Sometimes I cut off the crust and bag them then when I have tomato soup I crisp them in the toaster oven (if dry sprinkle with a tiny bit of moisture and “wala” a yummy bread stick. The restaurant decor, staff and food are great. I have a note to the property owner. Fix the parking lot! It looks like people for the last 20 years flushed their radiators on it, it’s a mess, needs attention....
