My recent dining experience at SaiGon NHO in downtown Fairfield, CA, was nothing short of delightful. This new gem, open for just three months, has already established itself as a must-visit for Vietnamese cuisine enthusiasts.
First impressions matter, and SaiGon NHO excels in this regard. The restaurant is impeccably clean and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel right at home.
Our meal began with two appetizers: fresh spring rolls and grilled pork bánh mì. Both dishes were beautifully presented and came with a surprise—two delicious peanut dipping sauces. The bánh mì, in particular, stood out with its generous meat filling and perfectly toasted bread, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.
For the main course, we opted for the combination pho and the make-your-own pho, where you can select your preferred meats. Both options were savory and rich in flavor, thoroughly enjoyable. The accompanying plate of lemongrass and bean sprouts was ample and fresh, enhancing the pho experience.
SaiGon NHO has quickly become a highly recommended spot in Fairfield, which has long needed a quality pho restaurant. We are definitely coming back, as this place has set a new standard for pho in the area. If you haven’t visited SaiGon NHO yet, make sure to add it to your list—it’s a culinary delight you won’t...
Read moreInsanely good food across the board at very reasonable prices, compared to a lot of other Vietnamese restaurants in Cali.
We ate there 3x over 2 consecutive days, that’s how good it is.
Bun rieu is a beautiful flavor bomb. Best bun rieu I’ve had in a very long time. I cook it myself too, and it’s hard to get that complex flavor. Missing oc, but I’m guessing most Americans are relieved they’re not in the bowl.
bun Bo hue is in our opinion the best BBH in California, better than BBH Ahn Nam. Hands down. Punchier flavors, delicious broth, and incredible value. Add their sate sauce (in tiny tubs on table) to enhance flavor.
pho broth is clean tasting and I love that you can choose your own combi (how thoughtful!)
com suom bi (rice combo platter) is massive. I was expecting broken rice but they used premium Cali rice. It went well with their generous grilled pork chops, which were seasoned heavily. Pickled carrots were a great foil. We easily polished off all the rice.
Goi cuons are extremely well priced.
Kitchen can be a little spotty, with my pho missing an item or other tables waiting on half their plates, but you gotta cut them slack— it’s mom & pop working the kitchen.
Fairfield residents you guys are sooooo lucky to...
Read moreYum, a new Viet place! They just opened a week ago, and are having a soft opening. The restaurant is located in downtown Fairfield, so parking can be a bit tricky during busy times.
We ordered some goi cuon (spring rolls), banh mi, and strawberry tea and an avocado smoothie.
The spring rolls were delicious, light and refreshing and omg the banh mi! When they brought it out, my boyfriend and I were surprised how large the portions are. They are very generous with the filling. The bread is also warm, light and crispy. I was very happy and satisfied after finishing my sandwich. I got the banh mi dac biet and my boyfriend ordered the banh mi char siu. So yummy!
The drinks were also very good and tasty, my strawberry tea was brewed well and the avocado smoothie was light, creamy and refreshing.
Service is very friendly, and they give you a little stamp card for a free drink on...
