Festiva Buffet — Restaurant in Fairhaven

First time for me. And definitely not the last time. The food was the best I have ever had at a buffet. It was hot and tasty. They had a lot to choose from. It was on a Sunday afternoon, and real busy. Almost every seat was full. The tables in the bar area are quite close, and can hear the conversation the table next to you is having while eating. Good idea with having the extra napkins at the table. No salt and pepper at the table. Should provide at the table. No place mats.... Our table was a little sticky. Should provide cheap place mats! They are just starting out. So hopefully the atmosphere will change a bit. And they will provide place mats. Worth the price. Wish the soda came with the buffet price. 33.00 for 2. Including 2 sodas. Will probably make it a twice a month out to eat place. Update 09 17 2023. The last 2 times I went for take out buffet. The 1st time. I put my food on the scale. So I don't have all kinds of hands touching my container. Like I usually do. She took my food off the scale, opened my container closed it and charged me $1.00 more per pound. When I asked why looking right her. She did not answer. I asked her again. She said SEAFOOD! I said it should be all you can eat! NOT WHAT YOU CAN EAT. I WAS PISSED!!! I grabbed my food paid for it, and left. On 11 02 2023. I figured let's try this again. I went in like usual. This time the same person took my container(I had no seafood) She opened my container again. Put it in a bag 1st then put in the duck sauce packets, she put in the utensils, soy sauce and about 10 napkins, to add more weight, so I had to pay more. This place is a rip off. It's not bad enough they took items out of the buffet, and they charge you any way that they can. When you question them they act like they don't understand. VERY RUDE STAFF!!! I NOR AND ONE ELSE FROM MY FAMILY WILL BE BACK EVER! I will go elsewhere. You may have played me for a fool twice. But never again. Oh and still no place mats...

Updated review Oct 2022 The food selection was VERY limited on Saturday night. This was our first time back to Festiva in like two years. They barely had any food, Sushi was hours old and they weren’t making anymore, Ice cream machine was broken, Bill was almost $40 which was insane especially once I saw my previous review (Which was back when festiva was good, About two years ago). We came back after all this time to see if the food quality had changed since when we would go it was really good, It started to decline and we never came back.

Love love love festiva. Me and my boyfriend are definitely regulars. Food is always fresh because they're always busy. Always new kinds of food, not just strictly Chinese. They've had pot roast, oxtail, crabs, Even octopus. My only question is how they do pricing... I've seen some people say they pay $30 for two people but me and my boyfriend have never had a bill that high. Lunch is usually cheap but we feel like it all depends on how busy it is. One of the highlights of Festiva Buffet is that it's never usually crowded, making it easy to find a table and enjoy a meal without feeling rushed or cramped. The relaxed atmosphere is definitely a plus. However, the food selection, while varied, doesn't always meet the mark in terms of quality. I've noticed that some dishes tend to be greasy, and on more than one occasion, I've encountered food that was served cold. This can be disappointing, especially when you're looking forward to a warm meal.

Despite the shortcomings in the food, the staff at Festiva Buffet are consistently friendly and welcoming. They do a great job of ensuring guests feel comfortable and taken care of, which adds a positive note to the overall experience. Additionally, the restaurant is always clean, which is something I appreciate. The cleanliness, combined with the courteous service, helps to balance out some of the downsides.
