Scramblers Breakfast & Bagel — Restaurant in Fairhaven

First time there and won’t go back or recommend this place. There is no communication between the staff and customers coming in. My boyfriend and I didn’t know we had to wait until a table was cleared to sit down so we stood there for a good seven minutes looking foolish until a staff member told us to sit wherever. When we finally sat down and looked around the room, we saw ONE paper that said to wait for the table to be cleared and then sit. It was also on a window side and not on the door or in view of customers coming in. The waitress we had made us feel like we were inconveniencing her by sitting down. No one smiled. No one made us feel welcomed. They all talked to their regulars and avoided eye contact with the rest of the customers. Food took forever to get to us when both orders were what seemed to me was a simple order. By the time it got to us, it was on the verge of warm to cold. So I know my food had been done for a while. The waitress never came over to the table to check on us or to see if we needed anything else. But was eager to give us our check. I brought my family from South Carolina to have breakfast I have enjoyed every experience here before. We got here at 12:00 placed our food order by 12:20 mind you the server walked away mad times when we were ready to order but we were patient we didn't get our food until well after 1:00. When we were checking out I was asking if we could ask for some type of courtesy discount for the wait because we were all very confused as to why six eggs and three orders of home fries was taking that long when we walked in there were only two other tables there, the owner told me that he was not going to provide a discount and I said okay that's fine run your business how you would like to run your business. However he kept up with the sly comments so I said to him well enjoy working because I'm going home where I don't have to work and I'm going to have a good day I hope you do the same. As we were leaving my 7-year-old son whose birthday is today was asking what was going on so I explained to him that I asked about a discount because you see how all the people around us came in after us and they're eating and we just got our food so then the owner yells across the restaurant and he tells me " you don't...

Scramblers Breakfast and Bagels 2 Sconticut Neck Rd. Fairhaven, MA I had a terrible experience there recently with a server and the manager. The server made a mistake with both my order and my bill. I asked her about it and she said she fixed it. She was very defensive and I thought maybe she was new as we all make mistakes. She yelled at me and raced over to the manager calling me names! He came over and blasted me for insulting her! He wouldn't give me the chance to explain to him what happened! He told me to not go back there! What a terrible way to treat a customer especially since his server made a mistake and demonstrated such abrasive behavior that upset the whole atmosphere in the restaurant! I've had Laura and another server who says she's going to retire do a marvelous job with my service in the past. The food is very well prepared and tasty. I've been there before and I wish I had either of them but this other one came racing over to me as soon as I sat down.
