This is likely my second review of Mac’s Soda Bar. I haven’t been here for a couple of years but I’ll tell you this place has really gone down hill.
We shared a Scallop and Clam dinner and each got a stuffed quahog. The quahogs were huge, but lacking any clams. Really it just tasted like stuffing mix with clam juice. A real letdown because this place used to have awesome quahogs. Honestly, the restaurant was empty except for one other couple. Our food was overcooked and tasteless. The coleslaw wasn’t fresh, and the tartar sauce looked like it had been sitting around for a long time. If you tried to put your fork into a fried scallop, the coating would all fall off.
