I rarely ever share reviews, but after my experience last night, I felt like I needed to share my concerns with the restaurant. There were several issues that just totally turned me off from returning: I ordered my food at 7:23 and didn't receive mine and my sons meal until 8pm. We ordered two burgers and a side of brussels. I checked with them on my order about five minutes before it was ready and while the staff was friendly, they really weren't concerned with being in a hurry. When I received my burger, the hamburger patty and top bun had slid off of the bottom bun. Lettice, tomato and all of the burger sauces were on the bottom bun. It was so messy and I couldn't pick the burger up without having to wipe my hands after. I had to re-build my burger from my table. (the burger alone was 10 bucks) The water from the machine tasted absolutely terrible. Not sure if it's just not filtered right or what, but even lemons couldn't cover the taste. The women's bathroom stall has a hard time locking. I couldn't locate the lock on the door handle and when I tried locking the top lock, it wouldn't lock easily. I walked in on someone in the bathroom who had the same issue. The only great thing about the experience was the Brussel spouts. They were delicious. Overall, I was disappointed and I absolutely hate that I was. I was really looking forward to finding a new burger place to spurge my diet plans on and I just hated that I had this experience. I can only hope that others who go have a better...
Read moreUpdate - I am reducing my 4 star review to a 3 star. I have had some really good burgers from other establishments lately and it has made me reconsider this burger being 4 star. It wasn't bad but could have been better. I will try a more traditional flavor next time to see if I can give some stars back. Stay tuned...
I have previously eaten at the location in the old mill several years ago. I went here a couple of weeks ago for the first time since they moved to this new location. I liked the layout and the menu was easy to read. We ordered at the counter then seated ourselves and waited for the food to be brought to the table. Burgers cost about $10 and fries are extra. For 2 single patty burgers, fries and drinks the bill totaled $37. That was a little pricey for burgers so I was hoping to be really impressed. I had the Greek burger and my wife had a burger with a Gluten Free bun which made her happy. When the food came out it was hot and looked made to order. The bun and burger meat were really good. The Greek topping was a little heavy and covered some of the flavors. The fries were hot but soggy and had an orange seasoning that I did not care for. I like more of a crispy fry with a burger. There are a few other places to get a great burger at a better value. With all said, I do like Ox Kitchen and would go back in the future to try...
Read moreFirst time eating here and I went in with a lot of optimism based on recent reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not what i was expecting based on the reviews. I ordered the patty melt which in their pictures looks absolutely amazing and a side of their fries. On their board it states that they cook to medium unless otherwise specified. What I got was definitely not medium, it was more like a very well done. It was very dry and over seasoned. It was very salty and it almost seemed like it might have been seasoned twice . Also the size of the patty seemed small for the price point . In my opinion , the gold standard for a burger in the area is McGuires in Pensacola . You can get a perfectly cooked to your taste , wood grilled 3/4 pound burger with fries and a variety of options for less then you can at Oz Burger . Callaghan’s (Mobile) / Manci’s (Daphne) are also better options based on this one visit . Another party was there and gave the staff a thumbs up , so maybe it was just my order that wasn’t up to snuff which means that their standards may not be as consistent as they should be . I may try it again , it I will go in with much lower...
