Dewey's Pizza - Fairlawn — Restaurant in Fairlawn

Second time here, both times with my mother.. first time was last year sometime. First time it was great, crust and sauce was the best for me. Second time around our waitress was very friendly,.. Salads were great. We ordered a 12 slice (wanted left overs) "supreme" type pizza, (can't think of the actual name). But, when It came out, it was still raw! Veggies were hardly cooked. But thought maybe that's what they where going for(fresh look, first time only had pep) smh. Dough was very gooey. Our waitress got the manager.. she said she would put it back in the oven(🤔food safety) smh before we could say anything (The manager was very straight faced) she snatched the pizza and left. We wanted to just say forget it! By the time she came back, she says, we were right, it is in fact raw. And tells us she was having them make us a fresh pizza. Which is what she should've done in the first place 😒. Brings the NEW pizza out AND IT WAS RAW TOO smh. At this point, to avoid escalation. We paid the bill and left. Manger was standing by the door, with the first smile I've seen the entire time, "see you soon". 😒 I won't name call.. but I want to....

A little bit expensive but the pizza was great and I honestly can thank the manager enough. My American express card would not work oit of nowhere when it came time to pay the bill. I've never felt more trashy in ky life. Like I was trying to steal a pizza or something. Any way I had to let the manager know and he was super chill and calm about it. Made it seem like it was no big deal amd just come back amd pay it when I can. Obviously thinking I'm never going to comeback the second I walk out the door. I didn't want to come back out of embarassment but it was the right thing to do. He didn't make me feel like a douche at all, so I wanted to repay his kindness and actually show back up. So I went to the bank and was able to take money out. I was glad I got to walk it right back in there and pay my bill after maybe looking like poor white trash. NYC girl IMPRESSED!! I haven’t had good pizza since I left New York Citydecades ago. I do like BLAZE a lot, too but I don’t really consider them a competitor to mainstream style pizza. I took a chance and ordered this from DoorDash (which I never do), so I don’t know about the atmosphere and the service. But I ordered a 17 inch large with pepperoni and sausage slices. The ratio of sauce to cheese, the taste of the sauce, & the quality of the cheese was excellent. New York crust is a little chewier on the edges than this, but Dewey’s thin, crispy crust is exactly like it is in New York. I was impressed the night I got it. But THEN I heated it on bake at 350° in the oven on some parchment paper for five minutes (the leftovers were stored in my freezer) and it was phenomenal like a week later! I can’t believe it! Definitely gonna order from here again. Who knew we would find New York class Pizza in little ‘ole Fairlawn...
