Sbarro — Restaurant in Fairlawn

sobarro is my favorite place to eat in summit mall. Every single time i go there, the workers are so insanely rude i’m genuinely suprised they have jobs still. I am always started at with a rude face, never welcomed. Not even a “hi how can i help you” or “what can i get for you”, just a head tilt as in “wtf do u want”. I’ve worked in customer service for 4 years it is NOT difficult to be welcoming and kind to people even if you are having a rough day. Last time i went to summit mall and got sobarro was June 11th. It was around 1pm when i stopped at the food court. I’m always tense walking up there because i know they’re just going to be rude to me. June 11th was a striking experience however, an employee/manager named Jasmine had an extremely sour face as soon as i walked up. I made eye contact with her and she looked up and down, at the food then at me to signal “what do you want”. No “hello”, no smile, nothing. I told her i wanted a pepperoni stromboli, she aggressively stabbed it with the tongs then threw it in the toaster so hard she knocked something else over. Like wow. Why are u taking ur anger out on my food lady? She then aggressively asked “ANYTHING ELSE?” as if i had just ruined her day by ordering food or something, i told her just 1 garlic cup. Once my stromboli came out of the toaster she wrapped it up put it in a bag, carried it down the register then TOSSED THE BAG ACROSS THE COUNTER AT ME. Girl what is wrong with you? You literally have 1 job??? I then reminded her about my garlic cup which she stormed over to get and slammed on the counter. Didn’t say a word this entire time mind you, just gave me such an evil look as if she knew me personally and had an issue or something. I think my final straw with going there was the way she tossed the bag across the counter at me. If she wasn’t rude before, she definitely crossed the line then. The service there is awful. I mean i’ve truly never experienced service like that before ever. Though sobarro was my favorite place to eat in the mall, my friends and i will never be purchasing from there ever again. I’ve always been kind, always tipped them and still there is 0 change in their attitude. I know for sure that her first name was Jasmine, i beleive her past name on her name tag was “Poole” however i’m not too sure about that....

I Stop there after work to get something to eat. I haven’t had their food in a while. I like the Stromboli with a side of tomato and cucumber salad. There was two workers behind the counter one was sweeping and the other one was over by the food I came up and stand. She just stared at me didn’t say one word and I said are you ready? She shook her head. Yes, So I told her my order which was a pepperoni Stromboli and a side of tomato cucumber salad. She kept this irritated look on her face all the while, not speaking to me not even one word not to welcome me not to ask me what I wanted not to ask me if I want anything else or a dessert or a drink!!!! And then I asked her not to put my salad in the bag with my Stromboli and she didn’t understand and I had to tell her because the salad will drain out of that little metal thing and be All over everything. I gave the smallest tip I could cause I believe in tipping, but she really shouldn’t have gotten anything. She didn’t say one word to me. I mean, I have to wonder what kind of training are these employees getting??? The food is always great, but that service!!! Yuck!!! I may not want to ever come back. And the sad part is it doesn’t look like anybody really cares about these reviews because I see a few other people complaining about your employees and it still seems like nothing...

I was at the counter checking out the menu and prices. I was looking at the pizza to determine if I wanted pepperoni and sausage or specialty pizza. Meanwhile a gentleman walked up and the heavy set brown skin woman with a wig parted down the middle asked kindly “may I help you?” so he proceeded to order a pizza Stromboli. I kept looking and was waiting on her to ask me the same question but she didn’t. So I stared at her and she looked at me and said in a smart Alec tone “I am ready when you are” I said oh I didn’t know that. She well you were looking at the food. I don’t understand why I was not given the same type of courtesy when I was standing there in total 4 minutes and not one person said hello let alone how May I assist you?. Horrible customer service. She needs to go home and restart her day because obviously she needs an attitude adjustment. Needlessly to say I walked away and is going...
