Met a freind for lunch here on Friday, August 19th, 2022 for the first time at noon. As who doesn't want to see a gaint world record fork, made here in Oregon! I have to admit to being a bit disappointed at the gaint forks placement, on the busy street corner. Not very photo friendly or photographic backgrounds. This food court is nice and clean, with a kids play area. Game of gaint Jenga anyone? The building has plenty of inside seating and looked to have a unfinished bar when I visited. Some outside seating is slso available. I highly recommend Sammy's Smash Buger for their mushroom & swiss burger & fries! Be sure to get a side of smash sause for your fries! Daily Dose of Aloha had a super moist and delicious chicken and rice dish. Fair waring. This was the busiest vendor at this food court during my visit.
One negative was the peach cider from Portland Brewing. Second negative was about 1/5 of the vendors weren't open.
Lastly. I was there when the food court opened and while not packed. It's popular. Especially at Daily...
Read moreMy husband and I are paying customers. We have enjoyed this establishment for the last few weeks. And everyone has been friendly... But today, someone we have never encountered before apparently didn't like us. He walked up to our vehicle and told us that we needed to leave. Where we were parked was going to be a disturbance to him and his future paying customers. We were only there less than an hour . We were enjoying our meal in our vehicle. Which is an RV. We parked legally in the very back of the over flow parking area.we were in the middle of eating when we were approached. We were not loud. Or fighting. There was no debris out side what so ever. As far as I'm concerned there was absolutely no reason for us to be told to leave . He knew we were customers. He spoke to us when we were waiting for our meal ..... They need to place signs out side of their gates stating what they find tolerable. We are both uncomfortable and embarrassed. He gave us no time to ask questions or anything. Just "...
Read moreI was really, really looking forward to this place opening (I live super close), and after many delays it finally is. To be honest though, it leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the carts that I’ve tried so far are just so-so. Nothing terrible, but nothing to write home about either. Most are quite expensive too, but I guess that is just a sign of the times. Whoever is running it is completely neglecting the idea of doing any marketing at all; no social media presence at all (at least none that I can find), no website (other than a placeholder site that lacks any useful information), and I can’t even figure out what their official hours are - if they even have official hours.
With that said I’m hoping it improves. There are still a few carts left to open, so maybe those will be winners. And hopefully the folks operating it will figure things out as they go along. I’ll probably still visit often since I’m just a few minute walk away, but so far it isn’t the culinary oasis that I was hoping...
