Great Mexican restaurant. They have authentic food which tastes amazing! They are even open during the pandemic which is incredibly helpful. Thank you to all the employees who are making that sacrifice! They have many options that will excite most people. Mole, Pozole, Tamales you need to get earlier in the day as they run out.
They have Taco Tuesday's where you can get $1 tacos for select meats (I remember Al Pastor, Chicken, Carne Asada (there might be more)) which is a great deal.
They will charge you $0.05 for the reusable plastic bag that they put your food in. They do accept credit cards which is helpful. They usually have about 10 total tables. 7 of them are booths, and the other 3 have chairs and seat two people. The quarters in this restaurant is very small, be prepared to feel a bit crowded.
They have a salsa bar when not in pandemic times. My favorite salsa by far is the avocado salsa. They also have pickled carrots and jalapeno. They also sell Jarritos bottled soda, guava nectar, and aqua frescas, glass bottle coke, and flan. The staff are incredibly friendly and work very hard in a non-air conditioned environment.
If you are taking to-go I recommend you call ahead and place your order so you can grab and run. I highly recommend this...
Read moreI guess they don't want my money. Ordered at 9:20, my delivery driver said the restaurant was LOCKED when he arrived at 9:40 (even though they allow orders to be taken on doordash), and he had to be let in. Order was never recieved. Ordered again, no answer.
Love the food but come on guys. Don't allow orders to be accepted if you're not truly open. You wasted my time and my delivery drivers time. You could've just canceled my order but I had to do it myself AFTER you confirmed it even though you guys said it's not on record. Unless you guys were busy, which my driver wouldve mentioned, I'd understand. But having a locked resturaunt 40 minutes after your broadcasted open time is no excuse. You could've just left the order in limbo instead of making my delivery driver drive to you guys to pick up nothing.
The food is great but I agree with some other posters here, compared to their competition La Santa Cruz (who has done some pretty frustrating things too like not answering their phone when they're not even busy) their timeliness needs improvement. If you're not open then don't...
Read moreHonestly we used to come here all the time, food started going downhill very quickly, never opening when they say they’re supposed to, then to top it off we got the worst breakfast burritos possible ( was supposed to get a triple meat and a bacon one and mine literally had no meat whatsoever and his had just a few pieces of sausage mixed in with a rolled up egg slab) about a month back and we called and explained to them what happened and we were supposed to have a credit with them to get different food, not only did they hang up on my fiancé they were also bad mouthing him over the phone (he does speak Spanish as well so he understood every word they were saying) needless to say we will never be going back here and I don’t recommend anyone else does as well. Don’t ever go here if your expecting quality food and good...
