Limber De Wilma — Restaurant in Fajardo

I have to say, I did not expect what I got. That does not mean that it wasn't delicious.

If you are visiting Puerto Rico and don't know what limber is, then don't expect to receive ice cream that you may normally find at home. Limber is very similar to italian ice, and is basically ice infused with different fruity or sweet flavors.

When you go towards the house, either Wilma, the owner, or her husband will come to the door and ask you what you want. It costs $1.50 per cup of limber and you can only pay with cash.

Wilma only speaks Spanish (as far as I know), and the flavors are located on a sign written in spanish. Make sure you know some basic vocab so you can communicate with her.

The flavors include:

Lemon (I recommend this, it's very good) Grape Strawberry Pineapple Coconut Piña Colada Passion Fruit Peanut Butter

And a few others that I can't remember. Some other reviews said that they have a nutella flavor, but I'm not sure.

Highly recommend to visitors to the Fajardo area. Limber is a Puerto Rican-style ice cream that Wilma sells for $1.50 a cup from her home. Park on the street and knock on her door! We ordered maní (peanut butter), piña colada, tamarind, and strawberry flavors — all were delicious, but I especially recommend the peanut butter and piña colada flavors.

The name "Limber" comes from aviator Charles Lindbergh, who was served this type of ice cream when he visited Puerto Rico in 1928. Limber is how the locals pronounced...

Grateful for others reviews or else we would have never known this treasure existed. Our family of four loved this stop. We parked on the street and got mango, coconut and passion fruit (each $1.50) and walked around the neighborhood eating them while taking in views of the ocean.
