Rocco's Italian Sausages & Cheese Steaks — Restaurant in Falls Township

This little shack outside of Home Depot is a hidden gem. Delicious! My husband stops by this Fairless Hills location from time to time and he loves the sausage and peppers sandwich. We were running errands together and he convinced me I should give it a try. I’m so glad I did. I got the Rocco sandwich (sausage on a cheese steak sandwich) and it was incredible. No, this is not fine dining with white glove service, it’s simple and tasty take out food. We sat in my husband’s truck eating our sandwiches, with very little conversation, I might add, because we were quietly enjoying our sandwiches. Food is great as expected, but the magic is in the service! Nick at the front counter was awesome today. I remember the original Roccos, and when I started my new job and saw one was this close, I had to go. Went for lunch today and was not let down. I walked into this bright, clean, and well decorated spot and was greater by Nick, one of the nicer guys I've met in a long time. He took my order and then watched to make sure it was made right. Now, the food, the Italian sausage with onions and peppers on a long roll was delicious. Sausage was flavorful, onions well cooked, and the roll was fresh. I said I would be back soon and when I told my wife about the place, she made me get her one on the way home. So, 2 times in one day, lol. So happy I have a good food spot so close. Can't wait to try the rest...

Wholly unimpressed. The smell wafting out of this place is too good to ignore, and I finally was weak today and tried them out. I ordered a sweet sausage parmesan, "a little heavy on the sauce". Service was very fast, but made sense once I opened my sandwich. They poured so much sauce on that there was nowhere dry to grab it. I wanted extra and while I think my request was greatly exaggerated, I did ask for it. What was really surprising was to find the cheese just sprinkled in and not melted, and the sandwich as a whole was luke warm at best, including the sausage. Hard to enjoy a treat when there's virtually no care taken to prepare it. Highly unlikely that I'll be back again, good...
