As chains go…Mission BBQ is it!! They are not shy in there support for those who support us all. Before you even walk in they display their support from the military by having Veterans parking sign right out front. Greeted by sultry caring manager felt down right “homey” as if you they’ve been waiting for you and couldn’t be more glad you’re there. “Is this your first time here.” Is asked and then you are drawn right into picking from the grand yellow menu right up behind the counter. In addition, their walls are adorned with pictures and paraphernalia from all aspects of public service from Police and Fire right next to our member serving overseas. This combined with top-notch service in a pristine atmosphere it makes you feel like you’re walking into your cousin’s kitchen right before you step into backyard in for a family barbecue. The succulent food and choice of sauces to slather your barbecue in would to soothe even the biggest appetites.

Having been through Texas and Oklahoma, I have been exposed to my fair share of bbq. Upon entering the establishment I was hopeful. The armed service and football themed interior had set a high standard for the food. Unfortunately, and maybe due to an oncoming cold, the food was… alright. I don’t want to say bland because I *did* enjoy it. I just think for $18.39 you should have some BBQ that’s great! The brisket sandwich came on 2 unbuttered buns. Okay I guess if the moist brisket was actually moist. Needed some bbq sauce to help out. The mustard they have though? Gas. Haven’t had it before but it is good. The slaw is flavorless and could use salt and mustard. Sweet tea is good but that’s hard to mess up All in all. I enjoyed my visit. A nice vibe and good people. Would have been better if the food stood up to the interiors high expectations

You get a very friendly welcome when you enter Mission BBQ. The restaurant is clean. Ordering is a breeze and our food was ready quickly. My husband and I both had the brisket sandwich (moist)... meaning more fat. We expected it to be super tender and moist. Sadly, it was not. The brisket was dry and chewy. We had to smother it in their various bbq sauces. We were really disappointed. Fries were good and definitely fresh made. Unless we feel like trying the ribs we probably wouldn't go back. Update: We went back for the ribs. We both had the 10-bone rib combo with coleslaw and fries. Meat was so tender it was falling off the bone. Really nice flavor, not too smokey or salty. The ribs were meaty with just enough fat. My husband and I could have easily eaten another rack each. I intend to go back and give the brisket another chance.

I wrote a really nasty review the other day and I want to take it back…

I’m going to just say my experience and let everyone else be the judge.

We ordered food for takeout and we’re given a time for pick up. When we showed up, the line was out the front door with patrons looking to order and dine in. We walked around the line since we called in advance and were told the food would be ready at the time we arrived. Micah, at the front desk acknowledged our order was ready to go. A worker named James then interferes and tells us our food is ready but we have to get to the back of the line. We expressed not understanding the concept of ordering take out and having to wait 1 hour for our food that was done and ready on the front desk. James continued to get nasty and telling us to get to the back of the line. Normally, I would have just left because of the pour service but the first person Micah was very nice about it. We get to the back of the line and Micah runs up from behind us and apologizes extensively for how they handled our order. Told us to follow him and walked us around the building to a side entrance. He said he was there to help and he did that. He went above and beyond so it hurts to give a 3 star for the service but Micah’s 5 star and James’ 1 star combine for a 3. Food was excellent, I just hope they train their employees to be more like Micah and...

VERY IMPRESSED.

I brought two international friends here for their very first American food experience and it did NOT miss. Moist brisket, tender pulled pork that needed no sauce, and amazing sides! But so what about the food (and I’m from Texas so I know good moist brisket)? Let’s talk about THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THIS ESTABLISHMENT AMAZING! 🙌🏼👏🏼

Danny and Lisa were so patient with my international friends and helped them understand the meats. Lisa offered them free samples of meat and modeled a very high level hospitality for my friends and Danny went out of his way to make sure they knew what they were ordering. We were truly served. Numerous times a young man touched the table to check on us and Danny ended up giving us free sandwich coupons and dessert. We will be back tomorrow for lunch, no doubt about it!

Phenomenal customer service. These folks are genuine people that care a lot about the guests that come through their doors. Danny, Lisa, and the young man that checked on us and continually bussed our table…these people are going to do just fine in life. They were a blessing to me and friends.

You just earned yourselves some...

First off I would like to say I usually go to the one in Plymouth Meeting, so the reason I went to the one I. Fairness Hills is because it's on my way home, so to get started called my order in when talking it sounded as if the person was going in and out so I placed my order, when i paid and this is my fault for not paying attention the order was not right asked for the chicken and it was not there as they were showing me my food was told I needed to go back and pay for that and I guess other item removed it never came to that I could go on but there isn't enough time to say what I want to, what I will say is if the establishment is new getting off the ground it needs some work and right now I am disappointed as I was looking to eat what I originally ordered I do not understand how a person can take your order over the phone and repeat it only to find you didn't get what you ordered may be awhile before I return to this Mission BBQ I am...
