I always look forward to stopping in before my ferry over to MV. The lobster and chicken tacos get my R&R started. I stopped in last night for my first visit of the year and itās gone down so much. First I ordered online for a 7p pickup. Arrived at 705 and food not ready. No problem. I sit and wait. While Iām waiting another 20 min Iām checking out the scene. Where are the adults? A bunch of kids were running the restaurant. One even had his ungloved hands on his face and in his mouth while hovering over customers food waiting to be picked up or packed up. AND he was handling folks food. I really wanted to cancel once I saw hands in mouth but decided Iād wait and be ok as long as I didnāt see him touch my or food it would be ok because I was so hungry and anticipating this meal. Luckily the other young man handed me my food. Now the food. Disgusting. Too much sauce. Wet tortillas. Bland lobster. The guac tasted āoff.ā Even the chips were stale. I expect better when 3 tacos cost $40. The shrimp taco was the only one decent enough to eat the filling out of the taco. The chicken and lobster were sloppy nasty messes. There were kids everywhere. People had long waits for food etc. I love to see kids working their summer jobs but an adult manager is sorely needed as the food, customer service, cleanlinesss standards and waits were a mess last night. If there is one they werenāt present last night. Not sure if Iāll be back this season. Experiences like this around food turns me off. Itās so disappointing though because this place was one of my faves and always signaled the start of my...

I didn't think I was hungry until i read the menu and ended up ordering more than I could finish. I started with the "chowda" which was very chunky and hearty with fresh tasting ingredients. Even with chunks of potato, I was happily surprised that they weren't dissolved into the soup. Then I went with the arugala salad with jicama and seasoned nuts. The leaves were crisp and the jicama was refreshing, however, the nuts could have been seasoned a bit more. My last item was the grilled cod bowl, think wrapless burrito. The cod was well seasoned and not dry but the rice was a bit undercooked. And you can't have Mexican food without a bit of heat. They had a counter with a good number of hot sauces and just underneath are containers of salsas and limes for the taking.
The staff was young, energetic and very eager to help with any request I made. If I'm ever back at Wood's Hole, I'm definitely putting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was excited to come here after I got rave reviews for the fish tacos by one of my friends. However I was in the mood for a lobster roll and some chowder and I love sweet potato fries so that's what I got period I ended up with a $42 bill and lunch that left me totally dissatisfied. Starting with the chowder it had a lot of sand in the clams and several of the clams were too chewy to eat. I can get much better chowder down the street at the Kidd. The sweet potato fries or inedible and I had to throw them out because they were so greasy and Soggy. Clearly the person who fried them had the oil at way to low a temperature. Find me there was a lobster roll that was outrageously expensive. Anybody who eats lobster rolls expect them in a grilled hot dog type roll. But that was only the beginning. The lobster was overcooked and chewy. It was also so heavily seasoned that I couldn't really enjoy the lobster meat. It was really the worst lobster roll I've had on the cape. I suppose since this is a taco place I should have stuck with the fish tacos. What a...
