I’ve never written a negative review before; in fact, any review before. I just eat the food, good or bad, and suck it up. But Tap City Grille annoyed me so much that I took to a Google review. When we got there, the hostess told us (my girlfriend and I, who were celebrating our anniversary) that there was a 20-minute wait, which was surprising considering that the restaurant was half empty. Regardless, we waited—the wrong choice. After we were finally seated, our server brought us the menus and told us that their oven was broken, a terrible excuse for terrible food. If true, then the restaurant should temporarily close, as quite literally half of their foods—pizzas, pretzels, you name it—require an oven. We still ordered anyway. I got the chicken parm; my girlfriend got the Mac N cheese plus a Caesar salad. The salad tasted, I don’t know how to describe it. Something was off, or old, or something. It was the worst salad either one of us ever had. And when I got my chicken parm, which was a large portion, something I like, I bit in, hoping it would make up for the salad. It quite literally tasted like I was eating rubber. Without a doubt, it had just been tossed into the microwave and had cheese melted on the top. I’ve never not taken a meal to go. I left it there. I write this review now so that the owner and management fix these issues, or pack up shop and leave the town, as they have some amazing...
Read moreMy experience with Tap City Grille was not a great one. After I was seated and the waitperson came to take my order, I explained that I was celiac and asked if they had dishes that were gluten-free or could be made gluten-free to accommodate my celiac disease. Instead of politely saying they were unable to accommodate me, the server rolled her eyes and told me that I had already been exposed to gluten because it was in the air of the restaurant, so ... and then stared at me.
I asked again if there was anything made without flour (I've always been able to find something to eat at any restaurant I've visited) and she just shrugged and said "No." I left after that.
I admit that I usually call a restaurant ahead of time to find out if they are willing and able to accommodate food allergies, etc., but this time I happened to be in Falmouth, had read the reviews, and decided to take a chance.
I'm writing this as a warning to others. The food may be good and possibly the service is okay, but in my instance, it was made clear to me that my business was not wanted. I won't be returning. I would give zero...
Read moreWe visited on 1/6/25. We were greeted by a very friendly host that asked us if we had a preference on where we sat. She was so kind and friendly. After being sat we were then greeted by Ali our server. She had a great personality and was so easy to talk with! Ali was attentive and sweet through our entire dinner! We ordered the bang bang shrimp (incredible) fig and Bacon pizza (amazing), baked cod (delicious) , espresso martini (perfect) and the “smoke show” (yum!). Everything came out pretty quickly and was incredibly delicious! The drinks were great!! Ali really made the whole experience even better than it already was which was amazing! We will absolutely be back!...
