Worst experience ever. After being sat, our drink order was taken immediately but our waitress did not come back for our food order for 30 minutes. After she apologized we put our food in, and after an hour of waiting for our food, we asked our waitress to check in on our order since we had to catch the ferry. We found out our order was next and the chef/owner yelled “tell them to hold their breath”. We responded we didn’t need his comments after waiting all that time and to give us the check for the drinks. After the waitress told him to cancel our food ticket he yelled “bye!” Don’t think I’ve ever been treated worse in a restaurant. There are much better places in close proximity that will treat you like a human. I understand it’s cape cod in the summer, but the comments were unnecessary, especially when they are coming from the owner trying to make customers feel bad about waiting an hour before their food starts being prepared. One of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever experienced, and the fact the chef/owner thinks this is a proper way to treat customers should be all you need to know...
Read moreCame in on fourth of july weekend, wasn't first choice but the other place we arrived at was out the door packed. Sitting in the blazing sun behind four other whole families was a hard no for me. Anyway, country fare was pretty good, and would possibly come back again. Only thing that was a small turn off was that the waitress was unpleasant, almost to the point of making us feel like a bother. Then came time to pay. Glanced at the bill and noticed something was charged that should not have been there. Told waitress & she wasn't too thrilled. She brings bill back and the total was over a dollar off still lol. I did a quick calculation (included 7%tax) and so there I wait almost ten min for her again, she informs me politely that I'm incorrect (really lady, you think I like embarrassing myself), then she adds it up, totals what I originally said minus 10cents. Makes it known my calculations were incorrect, so I made it known how much I enjoyed her service with the tip. Sorry lady step your game up, this isn't...
Read moreWe've been visiting Falmouth every August for just about 20 years. We always make sure to have at least one breakfast and/or lunch (it usually ends up being more) at Country Fare during our week here. Service is usually quick & food is always yummy. This past August was rough due to staffing & supply shortages. Went in for lunch one day (as a party of 6), and there were only 2 servers, 1 cook, and the boss. But our server (Tammy?) hustled her a$$ off and kept a positive attitude throughout. Food didn't suffer one bit either! This October we were fortunate to return again. Happy to see more staff, and the food was quick & tasty. We love seeing the servers who have been here for years- gives us a sense of "coming home", even if we're only brief annual visitors. Kudos to the staff (the ❤ of Country Fare, IMO) for all their hard work & great service! Hope management recognizes how valuable their employees are and treats them accordingly. All the best for many more years of success as a Falmouth culinary...
