We went to dine here for dinner with a reservation. It was a nice quiet evening, not packed but still busy. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in, and taken to our table.
The menu for the food is small, but the wine menu is much bigger. We ordered some cocktails, and 2 appetizers to share. The cocktails all had strong colors, especially the Rub-a-dub-dub, almost unhealthy color (LOL) but with an adorable little ducky on it! The server told us that we are welcome to take the ducky with us if we wanted to keep it. The flavors of the cocktails are a-ok, not the best I've had.
The server told us all the specials of the night, and we ordered one of the appetizer special, which was a duck leg with noodles. It was so delicious! The meat was tender and packed with flavor, and the noodles had Asian noodle flavor which we all loved. The second appetizer was a lobster strudel, which sounded interesting. It had super crunchy phyllo exterior and moist lobster meat in the inside. Slightly heavy on the salt but otherwise, tasted really nice.
For the main, we ordered Seafood Risotto, Seared Scallops, and Wester Ross Salmon. They were presented elegantly on the plate, good quality and nice flavors.
Then we decided to get a couple of desserts to share. We ordered one of the special of the night, whiskey chocolate cake with whipped cream and chocolate mousse. It was rich and chocolate-y, delicious! The other dessert was Creme Brulee, a classic. It was a nice size for us to share, creamy and very tasty!
The server was really nice, polite, friendly, and we were taken care of throughout the evening. A nice little restaurant with upscale...

They open at 5p sharp. We were welcomed and seated promptly. Our waiter was at our table in the perfect amount of time to bring water and take our drink order. The drinks fun and bright kicked off our dining experience with excitement.
Moments later, some beautiful, warm bread with spreadable and well presented butter adorned our table.
We ordered the Lobster Pastry appetizer. It was decadent and delicious, not to mention incredibly beautiful. We would have licked the plate if nobody was looking… ;-)
Between servings, bus staff quickly and discretely cleared and replaced dirty plates and silver. We felt pampered, as if we were the most important customers in the world.
Dinner came and it was everything we had hoped for. The duck, cooked medium rare, with skin, and a cherry sauce, was delicious. The fresh green beans and Yukon gold potatoes, the perfect complements. The striped bass, also, flaky, tender, and wonderful. Perched on top of arugula and a light lemony tomato dressing made the dish really pop. The recommended red and white wines paired perfectly.
Then came dessert. This brownie thing from another universe. Leaning into a pool of melted chocolate, topped with whipped cream and mint, a luxurious confection that left quite the impression and is in a sugar coma.
We left, mesmerized by our experience and wanting to go back. Hands down one of the best most delicious, elegant, and white glove dining experiences we have had out (and there are a lot). Highly recommended....
Read moreThe atmosphere was very quaint. Not upscale but cute. We were given warm bread however the butter was rock hard cold so it was hard to enjoy the bread.
The main reason for the 3 stars is the service. Our waiter came to grab our drink order and we asked to put it an order for crab cake to start because we were starving. The waiter rudely told us “No, the experience is best after I deliver your drinks”. I immediately got a bad vibe from him. I’ve never been told simply “no” from a waiter for simply wanting to order an appetizer…
Secondly, when he brought the drinks out. One of them had a rubber duck floating in the martini. For such a high standard restaurant (enough to lecture me on the “experience” I should be having) I felt this was very tacky. Additionally the napkins are presented to you INSIDE the wineglasses on the tables. Also, unsanitary. But that’s how I would rate a fine dining experience.
When I asked if a dish had nuts in it, the waiter had no clue and had to ask the kitchen. You would think this would be printed on the menu. But… AGAIN, for a fine dining experience I would expect the waiter to know if a dish has nuts in it. The food was unseasoned and mediocre to be honest as well. Nothing was exceptional. Just okay.
Overall, we spent over $200 here for our wedding anniversary dinner and I can wholeheartedly say, it’s not worth it. Especially if we are to be TOLD when we can order and when granted permission to, it’s lack luster…we probably...
