EDITED TO ADD: Received a text for my birthday saying "It's your birthday this month! Enjoy 50% OFF any Sandwich @ Boppa's Bagels! Gift good thru 3/23/22. Click (link) & Redeem @ Kiosk." I went to open it on March 23rd to get my sandwich, and it says expired. What a crock.
Do not trust their prices online OR on their menu inside the store! They will not honor them. I looked ahead of time to determine my order (see attached photo). Online, you can get a 1/2 dozen bagels for $10.34. If you choose a cheese bagel, it adds $.50. Ok great! I go in, look at their big digital menu inside the store, it actually says if you buy 6 bagels you get 1 free. Even better! So I grab my 7 bagels, 3 are cheese plus a couple of cream cheeses....it comes to $28.99. That can't be right. Online it was around $20. He rang up every bagel individually because you can't get ANY cheese bagels in the 1/2 dozen package - so no free bagel, no deal for purchasing 1/2 dozen. It says on their paper menu taped to the glass of the bagel display that cheese bagels aren't included in the 1/2 dozen. However, it does not say that on their online menu OR their actual big digital menu in the store....so the motto is 33% accuracy ain't bad? The guy stopped helping me to hep another person and told her "at least you did it right." If I was not getting these bagels for my staff, I would have walked out. The flavor of their bagels and cream cheese is outstanding - their false advertising and customer service...
Read moreWoof. I hate leaving a bad review, but I had to say something.
Price- With tip, a sausage and egg sandwich came to $18. I came in expecting to spend $6-$8 but was completely shook when I saw the prices. I committed to trying it anyways, expecting the best breakfast sandwich ever (dreaming of flavor and ooey-gooey cheese). Once my food arrived, I almost shed a tear.
Food- I could tell right off the bat, the sandwich looked cheap. The egg was comparable to the eggs you’d find at a bad hotel breakfast, and the sausage patty reminded me of those $3 gas station sandwich’s you grab when you’re desperate. Both rubbery and lacking any flavor. It also came with a cookie, which I thought was so weird, because I don’t know anyone who’s trying to eat a chocolate chip cookie in the morning (no judgments though, just not my idea of a good breakfast). . Now compare this to my recent experience at Caribou coffee, and it’s like night and day. I just recently tried the waffle breakfast sandwich at Caribou (only $6) and holy COW that was an amazing breakfast sandwich. I never would have thought, but dang I can’t wait til the next time I get to have one.
Atmosphere- The restaurant and branding needs a desperate face lift, feels dated in not a cute way and needs a nice deep clean.
Summary- Skip it and check out Caribou....
Read moreI’m from a lousy city called Los Angeles where the bagels are cold, smushed and they are never fresh even if it’s cooked in front of my eyes.
My band is on tour and I’ve been traveling the whole US and Canada. We stopped at many places to eat in the morning but today changed my life. I came into this place and was greeted with nothing but smiles, kindness and upon coming to what I thought would be just a random bagel…. I ended up picking the most plump, freshest, and most tastiest bagel that I’ve ever had in my life. Paired with the homemade apple juice it was a match made in heaven. Then I also got a bacon/egg sandwich that had the crispiest bacon I’ve had ever stuffed into another amazing EVERYThing bagel. Easily the best Bagel I’ve had and it’s only a shame that’s it’s basically a 25 hour drive from LA to get here again. If you’re ever in the Fargo area or even the state and want the best bagel served by the best group of people then look no further cause Boppas Bagels is...
