Our service at this location today was the worst service we have EVER had in Fargo-Moorhead. We visited this location for lunch today, we sat outside on the patio. It is so beautiful out, we wanted to enjoy it. After taking a seat at the table outside, no one came... my husband went inside to make sure it was open and to get a few menus. The bar was empty and the restaurant had a few tables but they all had food, he interrupted the servers, they were busy chatting, to get some menus. A female server came out and took our drink order and brought us menus. She was back quickly with our drinks and we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. She gave us 20 minutes to look over the menu, fine we weren't upset it was beautiful out. We ordered another round of drinks at the same time we ordered our food, this time it took at least 10 minutes to get our drinks. A male server brought our drinks this time, my beer came without limes so I kindly asked him to grab me a few limes. He never came back. A while later the same male server brought our food out. He notice we had no silverware, so asked if we needed anything else besides silverware, I said yes, I am missing the ranch I ordered, and we need ketchup. He said he would be right back. He AGAIN never came back! After waiting close to 10 minutes my husband went inside to get napkins and silverware. Our original female server then came out and said, "sorry Josh never told me you needed anything." Our french fries and burgers were cold by the time we got napkins, ketchup and silverware. After getting our tab, my husband went inside to pay, he asked if there was a discount for poor service. The manager has ever WORSE customer service than the servers! She told us, they were paying attention to the people inside and not us outside. Oh really? We hadn't noticed. She also said the patio is usually closed.. So why were served outside on the patio if it was closed? Had we been told the patio was closed we would have went somewhere else. After reading all of the other poor reviews of this location, we will be sure to go somewhere...
Read moreOh my. I just had the best service in my life here. In fact, I owe the rest of my life to this restaurant, and specifically Jennifer. It was a typical weekday night. But I had no idea that the course of my life would be changed forever. It started off saddling up to the bar. I ordered a drink and appetizer. (The tots are amazing.)Jennifer was friendly. I felt we might even had some unspoken chemistry but I decided to play it cool. As I enjoyed my drink, another guy came and sat at the bar. The mood changed instantly. Jennifer was still friendly but it wasn’t genuine. The guy was hitting on her and it wasn’t even subtle. If I owned the place I would have kicked him out but she seemed to play it off. I watched her walk down and help other customers at the end of the bar and then heard this man speak the most unspeakable comments. He was drunk. I don’t think that would have changed the things he muttered though. When she returned to our end of the bar he started up again. I decided that I couldn’t take it any more. I told him to watch his mouth. We had some words. He got loud and told me he wanted to take it outside. He was so drunk it wouldn’t have been an issue putting him in his place. He couldn’t stand straight. I told him he didn’t want me to come outside. We had some more words. He insisted. And I started to get up and see this to it’s finish. At this moment, Jennifer stepped in. She told him this was silly. That she liked him and she’d comp his drink and told him it was time to go. She said she’d handle her brother and that he shouldn’t treat her family that way. I was confused until I realized I was the “brother”. She neutralized the situation and sent him on his way. Once he left, I told her I could have handled it. She whispered to me that he had a gun in his waistband. Any man can say they could have handled it anyway, but I’m not so sure. Nothing is certain. Jennifer saved my life. I’ll be back when I come to Fargo again.
Thanks...
Read moreUpdate after today's visit: We stopped for lunch today and can say that the food has improved dramatically since the opening last Fall. We ordered multiple meals and all were prepared well and served hot. On the flip side, the fish tacos and chicken wrap seemed light on the meat / protein portion and all of the dishes were on the bland side for our tastes (we like some spice). The spicy breaded cauliflower appetizer was the exception...it had a nice peppery flavor and we all really enjoyed it! We all agreed that the best part of the meal was what came last...the Truffle dessert, as it was delicious! A hard shell of delicious chocolate over chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. You definitely will want to end your meal with this treat!
The newly remodeled facility looked great, the beer tasted good and the $2 Monday Sloppy Jack special was delicious. The good news stopped there though, starting with the popcorn machine being empty and being told that"we ran out of popcorn". My wife's steak bites were barely warm at best and my dry-rub chicken wings were small and dried out / overcooked. They definitely still seem to be working through some initial / opening issues on the food side, so you might want to give it a few weeks before giving it a try. Given that the menu prices were a little towards the high side (see picture), I expected more.
