Family went out for lunch over the weekend. Adults (4) ordered burgers and child ordered chicken strips. Burgers were a fantastic smash burger style—All four adults enjoyed the burgers more than Smashburger hamburgers. The fries are shoestring style. The house dipping sauce is very good—kind of a mayo-ketchup combo. They also have jalapeno house sauce and it's the same but with jalapeno flavor and just a bit of kick. All four adults thought the jalapeno sauce was fantastic. The chicken strips were quite good and kiddo enjoyed them.
We also got frozen custard (Turtle sundae) and a chocolate scoop. The Turtle sundae seemed a little dressed down—maybe it was missing some fudge that typically goes in it. It was good but nothing spectacular. The chocolate ice cream had a lot of cocoa powder in it which was a nice surprise. If you are a chocolate lover (especially dark chocolate) I would highly recommend you try it.
Definitely will go back. We all liked it more than...
Read moreI will start off by saying this is one of the most well-staffed fast food restaurants I've seen in a very, very, long time. There is a bit of a wait to get your food, but that's because it is all made to order and there seems to be a neverending line in the drive through. The food is fantastic. We had a burger, fries, cheese curds, and the chicken strips. All were perfect. My fiance and I are both looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future. If I'm being honest, I won't step into a Culver's again if Freddy's is an option.
I also really enjoyed how spacious the lobby is. I hate going somewhere and the lobby is small and narrow and there's nowhere to wait for your order if there are other people ordering. Loved everything about our visit. I will be...
Read moreEDIT: Received a response from the Manager who kindly offered a chance for a better experience. Received coupons for a redemption meal and it was definitely worth it. The burgers are awesome. Still pretty expensive in my opinion, $11 for a combo is wild. But it blows the chicken out of the water by a mile.
I cant believe these guys are getting away with charging what they are for a chicken sandwich. I decided to get one to compare to the other restaurants in town, and figured the higher price meant I could expect a hand breaded chicken sandwich.
You can go to any other restaurant that makes a proper chicken sandwich that's $1-2 cheaper. Not a bland, flavorless, frozen chicken mass, but a decent chicken sandwich.
I'll try Freddy's again to rank the burgers, but the chicken sandwich is pretty much bottom of the...
