Went here for our anniversary, what a mistake. Should have known when we walked in and the place was empty. An awkward guy sat us at a table with only 4 chairs. Ok not a huge deal for us to grab a chair for our party of 5, but come on we are the only people in the place. Prices were really expensive and I was good with paying top dollar for great food. Instead I got small portions of mediocre food and a large bill. No water refills even though we needed them and the waiter touched the rim of the glasses setting them on the table. As a former restaurant owner, stuff like that makes me cringe. When he inquired how everything was and all the party responded with meh, ok I guess he should have known we weren't pleased. Instead he came over four more times while we ate asking how everything was! So you might think, well the waiter was attentive and provided good service. Wrong! No refills, no taking my card to pay from the table, no offer for to go boxes and they tried to clear the table before we were even done eating! I mean, they really needed the table space since we were the only people in the place.
Now as to the food. Rice was weak and seemed like it had been held for way too long by the kitchen. Egg roll was descent, but the sauce it came with sucked. Food was served ridiculously fast, not way was it made to order. All of it was barely warm. Spring rolls were different, I liked the sauce my wife didn't. Cashew chicken was strange with cashews just sprinkled on top instead of cooked in. It was edible and would have been appropriate in the mall or for half the price. Instead they charge fine dinning prices.
Trust me, we have eaten all over America and this is not the place to...
Read moreI feel the color and layout of this restaurant is great sitting down. I was in hurry and tired to get feed. ordered CURRY TOFU but it turn out one of most troublesome meal i had.
it was quick they serve out and i sense the curry color is odd ( orange) and tofu is not well done. but since tofu is not hard to swallow, it is not problem to me. but after i ate ( 1/2 of the dish they gave large portion) and left the restaurant i feel my stomach is full and need to rest before take off. I had a phone call for that then continue my drive on the HWY. the problem keep getting worse and i need to make a stop 45min later. I am tired on one hand but it is definitely the gas cause me trouble breathing. I search online how would this caused by the food. it said if tofu is not cook probably it would cause gas problem. I had tofu many times and never has issue. i assume they should have boil the tofu first before they cook them together.
i keep resting until it get well enough, i was surprised i spent almost 1.5hr to wait it out. even then i still need remedy after i arrived 30min later. I pass out much of the gas through my mouth during the time. I took lemon juice to help my stomach problem after searching online.
it is a long write up, it is minor error the restaurant did. but it cause huge problem and last me hours to get over it. I hope the restaurant would aware of that and how big a problem it...
Read moreA-MA-ZING!Their spring rolls, egg rolls and lo mein are to die for! All their veggies are the freshest in town. Their chicken isn't little chunky niblets. It's long, tender, healthy looking shreds of chicken breast. The shrimp in their spring rolls are jumbo jumbo cocktail shrimp sliced right down the middle and lined up down the roll so you get a big piece of shrimp in every bite! Plus they use real rice paper, not that deep fried junk the other places use. It's like Chinese food, but THE best version you could possibly imagine. Its vietnamese actually, but comparable to Chinese menu options. I went broke getting takeout there everyday for lunch because I was SO addicted to the spring rolls and egg rolls. And the staff let me buy one of their jade Buddahs on display because I was there so much! I needed to have part of the jade dragon in my home! I felt welcome, like family, every time I walked in. They're great at remembering faces. And if you are a regular enough, they threw me some free wontons once in a while. But I'm sure they won't appreciate me telling that...
